“Symbol of Baku”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Where ever you are in Baku you probably are able to orient yourself to the Flame towers. They are a perfect symbol for a country looking to define itself as a modern city yet pay homage to their background and unique landscape where gas can in some places seem from the ground.

The towers are still very much under construction at the moment. The three separate towers comprise of a Hotel (mostly open), apartment tower, and commercial tower. They are joined in the center by shared space and what will soon be a large mall.

I was fortunate to know someone working on the project and was able to get in. I doubt at this time (Sep 2013) there are public tours. None-the-less I think you would be able to enter the hotel section.. We were greeted by 3 6'4"(without heels) Russian blond girls (wearing heels).. Felt like I was being abducted by aliens.. not sure their job but to make you feel less of a human.. (I'm no slouch).. Anyway, the bar area was great and they have a patio outside that was very comfortable with some good music playing..

In the end you will find that 80% of your Baku photos will have these towers in the background..

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

I temporarily live in Baku. I've never been inside the towers but I plan to this month. From the park Boulevard the flame towers can be seen clearly. The moving lights put on fascinating shows
