If you have to spend 1 or 2 days it might be just OK but if you have to stay longer I do not racomande this hotel at all!!
Very unfriendly staff, breakfast sucks no real food!!One bartender (Emil) is OK........Food sucks and is very expensive. AC might work during the day (sometimes not even then and if you ask you will get the answer to open the window with 80°F outside temp!!!!) but definetly is not working at night!!! shower is a lottery it might be you have enough pressure then is changing from warm to hot and the to cold without that you have to do any thing (might be fun for kids but sure not if you have to go to work !!) They are not kind enough to knock and wait till you say to enter!!!! the service guy just steps inn !! that all is costing 180AZM over 240$ reality is not worth 60$......is sure my last stay in this hotel!!

My friend and i stayed there for 4 nights.everything was in good condition.we booked sea view room and the view was astonishing.the only problem was with staff not being able to communicate in English. in general this is the biggest problem in baku(not just the hotel staff).but they were friendly.we didnt have toothpaste in the room and we couldnt make them understand what we want!!
the breakfast was excellent i suppose and the internet connection in coffeenet was so fast.
Just 2 mins walk to the main bus station,.
I recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: choose sea view room

Stayed here overnight and was made to feel very welcome by all the staff, no exceptions! Restaurant although welcoming feels unfinished, a little peek behind the curtains revealed lots of unplastered walling but the rooms were nice. One tip is if you want a non smoking room you must specify this when booking, otherwise they will assume you smoke as unfortunately it's a very popular habit among Azeri nationals.

The hotel is so so, i mean the rooms are not that great and clean, can see some moles on the walls. I've been there for 4 nights and never saw even a weak smile on the face of the front desk staff, or security, or bell boys or who ever have to give the first impression to the guest with warm greetings and smooth check in and check out. The front desk staff looks suspicious to you and always trying to discuss you somehow between each other. Security at the main door looks at you like you commited a crime, and the guest actually have to greet them all first, otherwise you wount here a word from them. But not all the hotel staff was that cold and unfriendly. Housekeeping women was so nice to us, they really was doing a great job, i really appriciate it. Some of the F&B staff was rather friendly as well, but not all. Anyway it was a five star hotel, which i did not feel really and as for it is 3 star hotel maximum, but not five, as i know what to be a five star hotel as i am working in one of the 5 star hotels in UAE.
So hopefully next time i pass by this hotel (not going to stay there!) i would see young ladies and gentlemen smile at the reception!

Room Tip: Rooms with the corniche view are smaller, but the view is amzing, beter then to watch old buildings.

This is a nice hotel with a pleasant staff and a very good breakfast buffet. Unfortunately many guests smoke most of the time, and the air handling equipment does not seem to get rid of it. You are taking your life in your hands if you venture onto the street by the hotel entry as a pedestrian. Local drivers use it as a speedway. Calling this a five star hotel is a stretch too far. I would rate it about a 3.5. The tub and shower plumbing is very strange. The swinging glass shower enclosure only encloses half of the shower area, and it can pop open during your shower if you hit it with your elbow. We ended up with considerable shower water on the bathroom floor. The tub faucet is even more amazing. It is not long enough to get water all the way to the tub, so the water hits the rim of the tub and bounces back before finally settling in the tub. Our room was nicely quiet. The hotel is very close to the new national park on the Baku waterfront. You can get there via a pedestrian tunnel. Many local people take evening walks there and the police are present. Despite its peculiarities, I would be very happy to return to this hotel.

The hotel is allright although as mentioned in other reviews not quite a 5-star. (To be completely honest judging hotels across the world basing on 5 star system is the same as estimating students' academic level globally using a 5-point scale - you are going to get the same degree of objectiveness.)
Check-in was quick and hassle-free. Wi-Fi is functioning, fast enough to skype home. Health center is pretty nice, features gym, pool, saunas and massage rooms (haven't checked them though).
Front desk ladies were quite polite and helpful whenever I had any questions or issues. Comfort-wise I had little complaints. The only one I remember was that my shower was sprinkling water all over the place and its hose was leaking. While I was away in the office during the daytime, the problem was fixed.
Laundry is available, a bit costly, 2 laundry bags cost me about 40 manats. But this is a normal price in the european hotels, I should say, and the quality was good. Plus the company was paying for it anyway)))
Food: I only had breakfasts there. The selection of food is pretty wide, and it is well-cooked. A few types of meat and sausage, cheese, fries, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, fruits, vegetables etc.
My room was on the lower level than front desk with windows overlooking the bay and the road. So there was noise from the road traffic and construction works. I got used to it but I guess all people have various sensitivity. Consider it. Maybe it will improve once Eurovision rush is gonna be over and the road and embankment is finished.
At the moment location is not perfect as it is hard to walk towards the city center due to road works. But you can easily take a bus. Once all the job is finished walking should become more easy and more enjoyable.

I have stayed in Crown Hotel in a business trip. Nice building, high level of service, clean and well-equipped rooms, tasty breakfast. Swimming pool and sauna were very good. But the 1st and the least problem is location - near the Dalga Plaza - our target partner's office was there - but close to busy and dusty road and 24-hour construction on the Caspian sea embankment. This hotel is very good for business trip but not so good value for leisure.
