Having read so many great reviews about this jazz club, we went there with my husband and our expectations were exceeded!
Upon arriving we were placed at a table and told that we would be moved to the lower level as soon as a table becomes available (everyone there waiting for the maestro to start playing).
The owner, a now elderly man Levon Malkhasyan plays jazz every day after 00:30. Despite the slightly damaged grand piano the music was wonderful and so full of passion! He played a potpourri of world music and it was magnificent! Something everybody should hear and see! His way, his charisma and his music brought tears to my eyes. So much feeling, such a magical atmosphere, looking at maestro Malkhasyan playing jazz with closed eyes and his laidback posture, occasionally with a cigarette in his hand and hearing well-known Armenian melodies blended with American jazz classics made an unforgettable impression on us.
The evening was rounded up by Aramo singing his expromt. Aramo played the percussions when maestro Levon was playing! Another interesting experience!
