Description: A small, & upmarket restaurant in a homey atmosphere where you'll get personal attention, a lengthy wine list and some interesting local specialities. Its owner is an art collector, an American Armenian, who has returned to Yerevan. Probably you will meet him there, chatting with guests. The smallish restaurant features a laconic, well thought-out design. In warm weather, the meal can be savored on the cozy inner courtyard terrace, entwined by lush vines.

“Expected Better...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Everything was just OK. This was suposedly the highest recommended restaurant in Yerevan and it was below our expectations. Perhaps others wouldn't mind, but there were multiple screaming babies, men were smoking inside the restaurant (which had no venthilation or open windows), and there didn't seem to be any air conditioning on during mid-August. It is worth mentioning that what my Armenian grandmother and mother made are drastically different from what is on today's "traditional Armenian" menu. The food is what it is, but there was nothing memorable, and many options were disappointingly unavailable. If you have the money, go and perhaps you'll have a better experience. Otherwise, try elsewhere.

“Armenian food whit a twist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

Armenian food whit a modern twist . A perfect example of bringing Armenian food to 21 century. One downsize is the menu it's basically to many chooses so you get confused I will probably choose the set menu next time. Pricing is on the upper end of the scale for Armenia but well worth it .

“Supurb food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

My friend and I stopped by for dinner on busy Thursday evening with no reservation. They seated us in the patio in the back under the grape arbor. We had the set meal at the back of the menu and are very glad we did. It gave us a chance to sample a much wider variety of Armenian food. The dishes were AMAZING! If you want a delicious meal in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere, this is the place. I don't know why anybody would complain about the speed of service anywhere in Armenia. If you want speed, go to McDonalds. As for price, it was not cheap but when you consider the exchange rate, the meal was a very good value. You would pay triple that in any major US or European city. GO, eat, enjoy, live!

“Exquisite food in a nice embiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

We dined at Dolmama on July 3, 2013, with some friends. The food is superb with excellent presentation. Now, every time I visit Yerevan, I have to live this culinary experience again.

“Food top, rest flop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Having been around in Armenia for some time already I almost fell off the chair when seeing the prices e.g. 6 Dolmas for 7000 AMD's. The food is very nice, but comes in small portions and we had to wait very long even though there were not many people. Service was not really attentative and they forgot our main dish. When asking the boss said 'it's on the way' and then went to kitchen and only ordered it (they didnt realise that my wife speaks armenian). We will not go there again.
