The huge Buddha statues are interesting to see but we were hassled more up here than anywhere else in Vietnam.
When we got to the steps some ‘students’ tried to get money from us, and they were really annoyed when we put our donation in the temple donation box. Later, near the reclining Buddha a so-called monk shoved some incense sticks at us and then demanded $10, when we gave $1 he tried to take money out of our wallet!
It’s possibly worth a visit but there is nothing serene about this place, keep your wits about you and avoid the beggars masquerading as students and monks.
