“not a very happy place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

seemed like they didn't care too much for the ocean life they had there. dirty and not much staff around. basically you are walking through a boring spot...looking at the sad fishes, turtles, etc that are stuck in not so clean comfy looking areas.

“Run Down and Needs Tourist Support”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

I love the ocean, so this review is a little bit biased. The place is run down and the tanks need cleaning, but if tourists don't support these kinds of places I'm afraid they will close down. I did notice a lot of injured fish and animals are here and they have had a few successful breeding programs. The whole place is a library of ocean life in Vietnam. I really enjoyed my time and was able to get some awesome photographs of fish. You're really close to everything and it wasn't very busy.

“Interesting but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

It's ok. There're many kinds of creature here. However I think it doesn't get much investment from government. It's quite old and lack of care. It's a good place for kids to discover.

“The live fish exhibits are the real show”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

There's not a lot to see here for the average tourist, aside from some very nice displays of live fish from the South China seas area. And they really have some nice specimens. However, the jars of embalmed fish and other specimens isn't really that exciting unless you're into fish. On the top floor were some mounted specimens of other animals that were somewhat interesting and an exhibit on preserving aquatic environments. If your fee supports Vietnamese efforts to preserve their aquatic environment, then it's a worthwhile visit.

“OK for a look”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

It was interesting, cheap entry. It was a little basic but OK, I loved some of the translations
