“aMAZING!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

We spent 4 days at Mia and i couldn't fault a thing! We only left the resort once to explore Nha Trang and decided we'd rather hang at the resort as it was so beautiful and relaxing. We had a beach condo and it was gorgeous. The sound of the waves was soothing, the bed was so compfy, awesome bathtub. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Even when my parter fell ill they sent up ginger tea! Food was great, rooms were great, everything was amazing! Will def stay again if we go back to vietnam!

Stayed at Mia for 2 nights in November as part of a tour around Vietnam. Just wanted to add my recommendation for a fabulous small resort. The weather gods unfortunately didn't smile on us, but the Cliff Villa is a marvellous retreat with great views and very homely. We had the end villa which felt completely private (they aren't completely private but it feels like it). The pool is a good size, loved the outdoor shower, super comfortable bed. The villas are very well equipped indeed. Tried the spa which was a great experience, loved the bar by the lobby - great place for early evening cocktails (they have a happy hour). Don't have anything bad to say about it, only a small recommendation that the restaurant staff need a bit of a boost (had to ask to be served every time). The staff are a credit though - super friendly and even a packed breakfast for an early morning train trip - nice touch. Sorry for the brief review but can highly recommend Mia...

Room Tip: Loved the Cliff Villa. The one right at the end is very private.

Except for terrible beds which almost crumbled my backbone after 2 days. Too soft. Everything else was near perfect. The weather was on my side. Beautiful sunny all day. White sandy beach. The Cliff Villa was a total blast for my trip. True paradise. Everything was set up neatly. Delicate and elegant. Staffs were helpful. Food was ok. Restaurants and bars are expensive. So, go for Buy 1 Get 1 Free Deal. Spa was just above average. Landscape was expertly done. Gotta give thumbs up for such an spectacular "artwork".

Room Tip: Same rate. Gotta pick Ocean Condo or Ocean Villa. Don't get Garden Condos or Villas unless you...

Dear Miracleboyz,
Thank you for taking the time to us your feedback on TripAdvisor. We were very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the resort and must admit that the view from the Cliff Villas is truly amazing and unique!
Regarding our mattresses, we only use a very well-known international brand that is in accordance with most 5-star resorts or hotels worldwide. We add an extra layer called a comforter on top of the mattresses; this gives the bed a very cozy and snug feel. These comforters can very easily be removed, which will make the mattress feel firmer. On your next visit, please let us know that you prefer a firmer mattress and we will remove the comforter.
Again, I thank you for this review and hope to welcome you back in the near future.
Warm Regards,
Louis Walters

This place is awesome!!!!! I'm a little tipsy by the beach across their sandal restaurant from the drinks but the staff here are über ffriendly...and not pushy at all. 5 star service. The staff here are the best. Impecabble views. Amazing food. Waiting for happy hour!!!!!!
Only downside was that the sandals in my room were not replaced from the previous people who stayed...
Love this resort

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Mia Resort Nha Trang to celebrate our wedding anniversary, chosen in part due to the many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. The resort itself is nice, the beach clean and attractive as compared to the Nha Trang beach or indeed most of the small offshore islands near Nha Trang.
However, it is by no means a 5 star resort. Having lived in SE Asia for 25 years and having spent dozens of holidays at the best resorts in Thailand Malaysia Indonesia, Maldives and pretty much everywhere else in between, this resort disappointed in a number of ways, and is in our view at best a 4 star property with 3.5 star service.
The issues we had are as follows. A) We booked the most expensive beachfront pool villa (room 301) and although it was quite nice, the bed sheets went un-changed for the duration of our stay and towels were changed only once, even though we dumped them on the floor so as not to give them the impression we were greenies. Not ideal for a romantic trip! B) The maintenance and gardening staff are at best what one can describe as peeping toms, and did their best to eyeball my wife on numerous occasions over the entire stay. Luckily she isn’t the shy type, but it annoyed me no end to catch the buggers sneaking about trying to see her by what is a very private little pool and outdoors sofa / sunbathing garden. They were not trained well, not friendly, and if it were in my home country of Thailand they would have been on the end of a savage beating.
c) The food ranged from truly excellent to poor. For some reason the beef dishes at this resort are amazing, the best we’ve had in Vietnam, but the seafood, and some other Asian style dishes (hotpot comes to mind) were verging on terrible, and far from fresh. Maybe we were unlucky, but as we ate all meals at the resort, by the final day we were somewhat disappointed with the overall dining experience, especially because we had read so many rave reviews of the cuisine. D) We informed the resort (we booked directly) that it was an anniversary trip. Obviously this slipped through the cracks. Not that we really cared, it just seemed a tad below par to ignore such things.

On the plus side the beach is great, the room was nice but small, but not 5 star by SE Asian standards, and a little pricey. The restaurant staff were quite good but hardly what you could call excellent, and the resort itself, whilst clean and well kept lacked colour, as if the absence of flowers and interesting plants was intentional.
We have spent several vacations over the past several years at other supposed 5 star resorts in Nha Trang, Danang, Mui Ne and Phi Quoc, and what is now clear to us is that Vietnam resorts in general lacks the charm and attention to detail that one expects at 5 star establishments. I put it down to poor or mediocre staff training, inexperienced and greedy management and without wanting to seem too harsh, a bad attitude to western/Asian mixed couples. Thailand, Bali and even Malaysia simply do it better.
Mia Resort Nha Trang has potential like many other supposed 4-5 star resorts in Vietnam. I hope this review helps them wake up in some small way, because from what I can see most are struggling to get business and are very rarely full, even in high season.
We did enjoy our stay, but only because we didn’t want anything or anyone to spoil the occasion.

Room Tip: The beachfront pool villas are the best choice, The cliff villas are too far from the beach, albeit...

Dear Mark J,
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on TripAdvisor. At Mia Resort Nha Trang, we take pride in ensuring our customers’ satisfaction and unfortunately, during your stay, we did not meet your—or our own—expectations.
As a testament to our strive for perfection, we have taken steps to ensure that we will raise our standards and we have put training programs in place to improve our service to our guests. All your remarks from housekeeping, gardeners and maintenance to the service that you received in the restaurant are taken very seriously and it has been receiving our full attention.
As you can see from other reviewers, what you experienced, is not our normal level of service or standards but it is only through constructive criticism like yours that we know where our faults are and can rectify them.
Again, I thank you for this review and hope to welcome you back in the near future.

My mother, mother in law, wife and son stayed in Mia Resort for a weekend and had a great time. The restaurant is peaceful and open to the elements of ocean, wind and sun. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. The secluded location gives one the impression of really getting away when in fact one is close to the city. The grassy areas are well groomed and made me feel like I was in natural paradise. The sandy beach is great for games in the sand but only ok for swimming. The hotel lobby is awesome with the breezeway view of the open ocean over the cliff. Not the best in Vietnam but a great place to stay in Nha Trang if you want peace and relaxation.

We first saw Mia Resort on the internet and then went to Trip Advisor to check out the comments from other travellers and what can I say but ..... fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. From the moment we were picked up from our hotel in Nha Trang, to the time we left ,we were treated like 'royalty'. Cindy, you are absolutely amazing and if I had a hotel I'd hire you instantly. Stephen and I were married at Mia Resort - we eloped with our children and a couple of their partners and booked in for 4 amazing days and 3 nights. Although we did end up staying a 4th night, just didn't want to leave and I must admit I did shed a tear saying goodbye to Cindy and her wonderful staff. In all my travels I have never stayed anywhere as good as this place. It was romantic, quiet, peaceful and we had a brilliant time. Cindy had Plan A, B & C for our wedding if the weather turned on us, but she even managed to get that right. Private dinner party on the beach, candles in the sand, music playing, 2 chefs, 4 waiting staff and there was only 8 of us - what beautiful memories we all have. We are definitely going back there again one day, so do yourself a favour and check out this beautiful resort. We were able to sample 3 different styles of room, Garden Villa, Ocean View Villa and ours of course was the best the Beachfront Villa - private plunge pool - absolutely awesome. Not to mention when we got back to our room after our wedding, it had been decorated with rose petals, bunch of beautiful red roses, towels turned into swans and a bottle of champagne.... Well done Mia and we will be back and Cindy - thank you and all your staff for a wonderful wedding and honeymoon and it's one trip that we will never forget. PS. we also had manicures/pedicures and massages on-site - totally awesome.

Room Tip: Can't go past the Beachfront villas.... worth the money.
