We stayed just one night in Nha Trang on a stopover to Dalat and after searching through many hotels we settled on Carpe DM due to the price and tripadvisor review and we weren't disappointed.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a family suite for the same price as a double at $18 and we were really pleased with the room. It was huge and had two large double beds and a single. The beds were comfortable and the whole room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also large and had a nice shower over the bath. As with many places in Asia the shower was attached in such a way that meant the whole bathroom got soaked whenever you used it! But we were used to that and this one at least had a curtain to reduce the damage!
The only slight downside was the noise in the morning from the army training ground next door. At about 6am they set off automated music blaring through the loudspeakers so a lie-in was out of the question but it was fine for the one night.
Danny was a wonderful host and offered great advice for the surrounding area - he even let us check-in VERY early at about 5.45am after we arrived on an overnight bus. We would definitely recommend this place to other travellers.
