In this review I want to try give everyone a clear picture of what this resort is and isn't. It seems there is large time gaps between reviews on this resort so I hope to fill in some of the gaps. I booked this place based on the limited reviews in Trip Advisor and pictures. My wife and I were in Vietnam to reunite with her family. She left Vietnam as many did on a boat years ago at 3 yrs of age. This was her return to her homeland after 33 yrs, we were looking for a place to relax on the tail end of our emotional visit. First the good, the place is new so everything is very up to date and modern. WiFi signal is good throughout resort, including beach. Transport to the resort from the airport was smooth. They had a sign with our name on it right as we walked downstairs before we even gathered our luggage. They drove us to the resort in a new Mercedes van. They drop you off at a nice reception area before putting you in a boat over to the island. We had a small problem here which I will cover later. They got us over to the island and into our room in less than 45 mins. The rooms are very nice. Bed and bedding is fabulous. We had a beachfront room which I think is the only way to go if you book this resort. The beach was amazing, water is calm, clear and sand was soft and clean. There were few folks hanging around the beach during the day. You would see all these people at breakfast and dinner and wonder where they went during the day (after getting around it was clear they went to amusement and waterpark all day). As a guest you full access to the amusement park and waterpark. Both my wife and I were very impressed with these places. If you have kids then this will be a big plus for you. You also have access to the gondola ride back to the mainland of Nha Trang, it takes 12 mins. It’s fun, free (included) and on very easy to jump on. You can grab a taxi from there into the center of town. We went our second day and looked around, had a great lunch as well as picked up some beer, Cokes, and Rum from a store in town. It was relatively cheap $30 US for Bacardi and Cokes and beers. Enough for a couple of days hanging at the beach. The staff is great, you can tell they are trying hard to make sure you are taken of. The not so good or at least worth mentioning. The staff for the most part knows English fairly well, but don’t assume they know exactly what you’re asking them even though they act like they do. Food, you get breakfast buffet every morning. It’s actually very good with a good mix of local foods and western options. The problem is with dinners and lunch. Breakfast is the only thing covered in the daily room charge. You have the option to eat there or off-site in the afternoons and evenings. The buffet is okay, but certainly not up to a 5 star level. Given that you end up paying around $35 US per person and $10 US a glass of wine it’s just not that good. I’ve had far superior dinner buffet options at upper end all inclusive resorts in Mexico and those were included. Giving the daily rate we paid it just seems to me that it should have been better and for sure should have been included. We eat one night at the Vietnamese restaurant and were pleased with what we had. The only real problem encountered during our time there was upon check in. They didn’t acknowledge the package I booked, which included a couples massage and one set dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant. They had me down for breakfast only and despite me pulling my laptop out of my backpack to show them screen shoots of their own package from their website I still had to forward back to the manager their own confirmation email to remedy the situation. It was all worked out by the end of the evening, but it really put us off having to get into a minor confrontation just getting checked in. It was obvious to me they really didn’t understand what their own website is offering. Also, the resort was 95% families. Being a couple we were very much the exception. Again, no one was really on the beach so it didn’t bother us, but any time spent in the dining area you certainly know they are there. There really is no way to have a quiet dinner without leaving the main dining area. All and all we were pleased with our stay. We quickly moved past our minor check in issue and enjoyed our time. The beach and staff were great and really set the place apart.
Beachfront is only way to go
