First, I will say that I found the desk staff (morning: Quoc, afternoon: Tri) very polite, helpful, honest, and genuinely nice. They enjoy practicing their English, so they would love to chat if my time permitted. If I was going out they would just smile, wave, and say goodbye. If you do any amount of travel, and spend some time meeting and actually getting to know the locals, you will ALWAYS find staff that wants to chat. They want to know about your life and your country, and they want to practice their English. Quoc and Tri at this hotel are no different. They are genuinely friendly and warm-hearted. The cleaning staff was also sweet, but spoke no English (not a problem for me). The hotel: at the end of an alley off the main road fronting the beach. The alley is 75m long, then cross the street and your on the beach. This is a no-frills hotel, offering just the basics. My room was on the top floor with a huge deck for my use only. The room was very clean, with a minimum of furniture, which is all I need. The bathroom door was broken (handle and the door itself), but, personally, for this price I don't mind stuff like that. I didn't even bother to mention it to the staff. My room was on the 6th floor (their 5th floor) with no elevator. I mention this because even though it wasn't a problem for me, eventually all the stairs did become a BIT bothersome, but I expected that. There is no in-room safe, but when I left my room I took my backpack (with a fair amount of money in it) to the front desk for them to store. I never had a problem with anything missing. The only complaint I have about this place--and this applies to DOZENS of similar hotels in Nha Trang and countless others throughout Asia--is it can get noisy at night when your neighbors come home. Sound travels quite easily through the hallways in this type of building. My room had no adjoining room, so I can't speak to room-to-room noise; mine had none. All-in-all, there are dozens of similar places like this in Nha Trang (at least 6 on this alley), but the friendly staff made the difference here. FYI: there were two computer in the lobby for guests to use.
