We read about this place in the Lonely Planet book and decided to try it out for breakfast as it was on our way to the beach.
The restaurant itself is tastefully laid out, with a great location and the terrace to eat outside is great. We both ordered set breakfasts, though they tried to charge extra for juice rather than the coffee despite the juice being cheaper in the menu, then we were told the wrong price for butter, and they neglected to bring our fruit salads. We felt as if they were either hoping we wouldn't ask for it or they had no idea what was going on. There were 3 girls and a guy working there, with only 4 tables including us to serve, but they were all too focused on setting up tables to be able to attract attention. When we asked for our fruit salads as we had finished everything they abruptly told us they were already getting it. Oh and don't order poached eggs, as they come out boiled...
We then went back for an evening meal, thinking it deserved another chance. We both ordered set menus, my girlfriend ordered the sea bass, as we hadn't had much seafood since our trip began. A while later they brought out a plate of tuna with the same accompaniments that were supposed to be with the sea bass. We told the waitress we had ordered sea bass, and she assured us that our tuna steak was sea bass. Having both worked as waiters, and lived in fishing towns, we knew the difference between a large meaty tuna steak and sea bass. This didn't deter the waitress, who continued to tell us we were wrong, that it was sea bass, for a further 5 minutes, until we eventually said it didn't matter, as we just wanted to eat. The rest of the meal the staff didn't come near our table, I don't know if it was because of this or not, but I did notice other people mentioning the food they ordered didn't match up with what they were given.
I wouldn't go back here, nor would I recommend people going here. It has a certificate of excellence on the wall which is what fooled us. Have a little walk around and find 10 better and cheaper places. Not worth the hassle
