“grumpy dragon at reception”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

could do so much better. lady was so rude to us for no reason. breakfast was ok. rooms are clean. wish the staff were happier but my guess is the dragon either owns it or runs it so morale is at an alltime low. only stay if nothing else available.

Room Tip: noisy as high rise being built next door.

Stayed here for 2 days, service was average. The room should of been a superior room which was charged for on agoda, but I think we got a standard room. Breakfast average, a bit of a ant problem in the room. Directly opposite this hotel is a BIG developement so it is very noisey. Did not like Nha Trang, the beach is average and what is it with all these high rise buildings?? Hard to find somewhere decent to eat without getting charged over the top! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. One more thing the pool area has only 3 sun beds which are falling apart.

Second time in Nha Trang but first time at this hotel. Wasnt sure what to expect as it was cheap but was delighted the minute we walked in. Room clean, location fantastic, great breakfast and staff really helpful. If you want value for money stay here. I definitely will if I ever get the chance to come back to this wonderful part of Vietnam and can't say enough about this great hotel.

We´ve spent in King Town Hotel 10 nights..Location of this hotel is really excellent - cca 3 minutes by walk to the sea...rooms are good and clean, internet connection is for free and goes ok,laundry is very good.

Hotel has two big problems - staff and breakfast. Only one girl at reception desk is able to help you. When we came to the hotel, receptionist wanted to confiscate our passport..maybe they thought, that we are able to leave the hotel without payment..so we paid during the check-in..we had booking by booking.com for 10 nights...after 9 nights receptionist call us, that is now 11:50 am and we need to be check out..we already check with her our bill and she wanted extra money for our stay..really very unprofessional behave and I think, that it wasn´t only bad calculation with long of our stay in a hotel...at the final we didn´t pay for night, but it was really bad experience..

Breakfast - this was some joke...if you go to the breakfast at 9 am. you will be hungry..girls told you only - sorry..we don´t have this and this...but if you go for a breakfast at 6:30 am. so you can see how staff are taking out the food for customers to another room :-)

If you have no problems with bad service and don´t like breakfast, I can recommend this hotel, but never you know, when you will have some problems......

This place was just great.
We stayed ther for 5 days and payed 20 dollar a day.
yes 20 -)
the people at the reception, the female coock and the room staff were very friendly and helpfull.
WE both liked the buffet and our friends also. alot of choice and every afternoon there was a plate with fruit brought to our rooms.
The rooms were very nice and clean. They clean it with 4 people at once.
The tv was big, the aircon good. the bathtub ok.
The only downside was that there must be a disco around but they are quit before midnight i think.
and you can hear people in the halls.
but then again earplugs took care of that.

this wa the only place and period i enjoyed during my whole stay in Vietnam
the did not try to sell me trips or anything.
just perfect

Room Tip: during low season dont settle for the price they show you

Kingtown is a good budget option, clean and well kept in the backpacker section of Nha Trang. After taking a long walk south from the Sheraton, we were so relieved to have a nice evening swim in the little roof pool. The staff were friendly and an early departure for the 5am train was no problem (reception stayed behind the desk!)

Recent visitors note - there IS construction next door and it does not look to be ending any time soon (they were laying foundation when we stayed). Apparently there are no restrictions in Vietnam to working through the night - the noise was a dull hum, but persistant.

Room Tip: Anything not facing the front of the building
