stayed here for times with my whole family whenever we visit this beautiful country. Staff are so wonderful & helpful, they attend to any requests which may rise from us. The Hotel lobby, the view from our room, the rooftop bar... make this hotel a paradise worth living. We surely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hue City.

Room Tip: rooms facing the Perfume river are amazing

This hotel was selected for us as part of our tour of Vietnam.
Big, yes. A bit ostentatious, yes. But once you have put that to one side the rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff smiley and helpful. Younger members of staff are guided by more experienced ones and this results in a solid and seamless management.
Sadly, the grandeur of the inside is slightly let down by the concrete ugliness that is quite oppressive when outside enjoying the pool area. Hugely overlooked by all the rooms on upper floors and the presence of beautiful yasmin in pots does not take away from the constant reminder this building wants you to be aware of its presence.
Super location on the Perfume River within spitting distance of the Citadel.
If the weather permits it, the Rooftop bar is a must. Great view.
We had dinner in the ground floor restaurant and I would recommend you find a way to tell staff you want to take time over the meal rather than receive the courses in quick succession.
Beautiful smiley people but don't assume the questions will lead to a tantalising conversation. The barrier between languages is noticeable as is the distance between staff and client.
Rooms are beautiful.

I stayed for 2 nights at Imperial hotel Hue in the last day of March, that's a cold day. Lobby is beautiful with fresh flowers, the red Ao dai, and unique architecture. The first impression is homogenization at Imperial hotel. From the architecture: lobby, room, restaurant, to the welcome drink, uniform, ... have a royal style. Hotel staffs were friendly with cheerful smile, whenever. My room on 15th floor, which a best place to see a perfume river. Hotel's location is center, nearly Trang tien bridge, Dong ba market... so easy to walk anywhere.

travel with my husband and stay here for 3 nights, they permiss for me to check-in early. Staff's friendliness and customer service were impressive. Nice rooms of a good size, we chose a river view room so we got a fantastic view.
Staff was very helpul, they help us book the train tickets to Danang city and set up tour around city for us. I love this place and I wish a I can stay longer!
I will choose Imperial Hue for my next trip, for sure!

Room Tip: Book a river view room to get the best view of Hue city!

The first time I have come to Hue City, Vietnam. How wonderful! Hue is very poetic and peaceful, people often say such like this. My family stayed at Imperial Hotel for 2 days. My first impression here is the spacious lobby with pillars of dragons on it. I took occasion of taking some photos for souvenirs. The staff, in general, are very helpful, friendly and professional when I need help. My room is Deluxe River View, the reception said so. What an amazing view from my bed. I can admire Perfume River and panoramic view, especially at night, very romantic. The following day, I enjoyed breakfast at Imperial restaurant. A variety of dishes and breakfast is very good. The reception introduced me some tours, and I chose half day tour to Citadel and Thien Mu pagoda. Though my family was a little bit tired after tour, we are very happy, new experience in Hue City. I will come back to Imperial Hotel for future trip.

My wife and I recently stayed here to treat ourselves at the end of our 2 week tour of north and central Vietnam. Whilst the hotel was fantastic, we were very disappointed with it's associated Spa!

The room and view were great, specifically the shower was just fantastic by comparison to other hotels we have stayed in, the late-night cocktail and view from the 16th floor King's Panorama Bar was extravagant but worthwhile, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were helpful. However, the Spa experience was very different. It seems it is run by another company and was disorganised, poorly communicated and executed, cumbersome, confusing and well below other less "exclusive" experiences we have had in Vietnam.

The Spa experience aside, we found the hotel a great central spot to enjoy a more upmarket and relaxing experience in the historical city of Hue.
