The Saigon Morin, is a very pretty hotel, it is full of charm. It has lots of character and history, which is shown in old photos dotted around the hotel. The pool and grounds were my favorite part of this hotel. To be able to take breakfast outside was just wonderful. The room its self was a little tired, but clean and tidy. We opted for the dinner buffet, the food was to a very high standard and good vaule for what you could have.

Loved this hotel.
The best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam.
The rooms and setting were excellent.
The staff were friendly and very helpful providing breakfast for us on our arrival even though the restaurant had closed.

If we could carry a hotel around with us for eveywhere we go it would be this one.

Loved this hotel! I've been all over the world on business, and I've rarely had a bigger or more beautiful room, complete with lovely seating area with French doors opening onto a balcony that overlooked the riverfront street below. Staff was friendly, food excellent and the halls were lined with vintage photos of the colonial days of Hue, perhaps Vietnam's most beautiful city. If you're here on business, internet connections were good, though allow time to see this fabulous city!

On arrival at the hotel we were told we'd been upgraded to a better room, not sure why but there was a mention of us asking for a non-smoking room ?? Anyway, the junior suite that we were given was absolutely gorgeous. There was a separate sitting room area with basket of fruit, water, tea and coffee facilities, etc. The bed was absolutely huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous with loads of lovely goodies to use, but the bath took an age to fill up with water. Breakfast was nice with a huge range of foods and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We spent one afternoon by the pool which was very nice - only problem as usual are the lack of non-smoking areas here.

After having travelled in Laos, Hanoi and Hoi An on this holiday I wouldn't really recommend Hue - Citadel was nice and relaxing away from the ever present hassles, but 2 nights was more than enough for me here, Hoi An was much better.

Had an excellent stay at this hotel. My room was locate in the front over looking the Perfume River and had a great balacony to sit on and watch Hue each day go to and from work on their mopeds and bikes.

Given Hue seems to shut down by 10:30 pm at night the room was very quiet at night.

The room was excellent given the price which was about $90 USD, including breakfast.

Unlike the normal formulated hotel chains this hotel had all of the smells and senses of being the colonial hotel it was and you can sense how many people had stayed at this hotel in the past. Like George V in Paris, Savoy in London, Chelsea in NY or St Francis in SF etc...the Morin felt like it had its own identity and your stay just added to its history.

This is a quiet hotel and not a place for drinkling or partying, but there again neither is Hue.

The room was massive and the bed comfortable. the furniture was in style and made the ambience relaxing.

The staff were great and very helpful. They did not pester for tips which in this day and age is great.

Try the Spa and beauty service it was great value. I had a hair cut which cost about $10 USD and had one person wash and massage my head and then another hairdresser cut my hair. It took nearly an hour and was wonderful value.

I can't wait to book again, but I will make sure I do not go in Hue's rainy season!
