“not the room we ordered.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

arrived in hue after catching a long bus from hoi an. they seemed like they weren't really expecting us and gave us whatever room they had, a room with two beds, a single and a barely double. instead of the queen one we booked. door didn't shut properly in the bathroom, the balcony or the front door to the room. long trails of ants in the bathroom constantly. no safes in the room. unfortunately we were here the day before a rock concert at the stadium so woke up to sound check at 8am. not the hotels fault but still not an awesome time. didn't and wouldn't eat here the cleanliness wasn't a priority to them. staff were fine. internet didn't work in the lobby and were told that it just didn't want to work for us and just wait till tonight.

We reserved deluxe room, but they gave us family room instead. We ended up having 3 beds for two people in the room.
The room was clean.  The bathroom had tiny soaps and tooth brushes. The shower curtain was missing. There was a bar for it indicating that it at least used to be there, but no more. That means that every time one of us took a shower the whole bathroom was hosed with water.
There was a desktop computer in the room, as well as wi-fi access. Because it was a family room  it had two TVs.
The hotel also has a pool. It was not warm enough for swimming, but the pool seemed clean and decent size for a quick dip.
Breakfast was included: eggs, bread, cheese, coffee, fresh fruit, crepes with fruit. Eggs and crepes were made to order.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
They gave us good recommendations for dinner from street food to known local restaurants. They also booked a day tour for us to visit Hue's tombs, which cost $7 per person.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. The breakfast was great. I would highly recommend staying here. It's really good value for money.

Reading the other reviews of this hotel, I frankly expected more from this property. On the plus side, the location was convenient to the tourist district, restaurants and night life, and the staff at the hotel did an exceptional job making us feel welcome and accommodating any requests we had. The property itself and the rooms were nothing spectacular though, and about what one might expect for "budget" accommodations. The "deluxe" pool view room was tiny, and there wasn't much view of the pool from our room. The inline water heater didn't have capacity for two showers, and we quickly lost a good portion of our snacks to the horde of ants we shared the room with. The bed was small and uncomfortable, although the bed linens were reasonably clean.

I would probably seek out other accommodations if I visit Hue in the future.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. It is located down a small road off the main road just opposite their sister hotel. Very easy to find every taxi driver we used knew where it was. Being off the road made it very quiet. Having the pool was great. We had a room looking over the pool with our own private steps to it. The room was clean, had a fridge and plenty of hot water. The staff were great and you could book tours with them. Breakfast was good you choose from a menu and have as much as you like. Wi-Fi was free and fast . location was great easy to walk to all the major eating places 2 mins from the river. If I go back to Hue this is where I will stay, great value.

Room Tip: Room 204 with balcony second floor looking over the pool

Good budget accommodation and very good value for the money. Room was small but clean and well-appointed. We had a problem with our AC leaking and it was fixed immediately with a smile. Breakfast was very good with a plate of fresh fruit included. Very nice pool in the back, small but everything you need to cool off after walking around the Citadel all day. Very good location, right around the corner from restaurants and bars, but down an alley so very quiet. We booked the DMZ tour through them and it was good value.
