“Great food...lamb madras and onion baiji are amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

Based on other reviews, we were not too sure about this...it is not cheap. We are really glad we tried it. Other reviewers have commented on the breads being too buttery. I can agree, my onion kulcha was very buttery and to be honest, the worst thing of the meal. The plain naan was plain and delicious. The baiji s were the lightest I have ever had, they were like air! My husband loved the vege samosa. There were 4 of us, we paid 850,000 VND but we had a lot of food: chicken and mushroom soup, lemon and coriander soup, vege samosas, onion baiji, chicken special entree (84 I think), three mains, one rice, four breads, tandoori chicken, six beers, a juice and a water.

I would go back. It was quiet so we had 5 wait staff but they did not stand over us (well, directly over us!).

“Mediocre food at best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012 via mobile

Having read the previous reviews, I ordered some of the worst vegetarian Indian food I've had whilst travelling. The vegetable samosa was nice albeit quite stodgy as it was full of solid mashed potato with a few peas. The vegetable kofta were too salty, almost to the point of being inedible and was the same mash potato filling as the samosa. The vegetable jalfrezi was full of onion and red peppers, with only a little shredded carrot and peas - cheap filler as opposed to nice chunky potatoes, cauliflower that you would normally see in a veg curry. This is disappointing when Indian vegetarian food can be amazing. I can only assume the chef reserves all his alleged talent for the meat dishes to get the previous good reviews. This is not what authentic good Indian food should be. For the price, I expected better.

“Amazing place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

Ate here two days in a row, absolutely great food, super fresh and flavoursome, and authentic too.

We (4 of us) ate different dishes both times and every one was superb.

A must visit!!!

“Butterific meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

We really enjoyed our extremely buttery meal at Omar's. The Chicken Vindaloo and Chana Masala were both excellent and on par with what we had at the Ganesh restaurants while in the country. It's clear that they know what they're doing when it comes to Indian food and understand the meaning of 'spicy'. Highly recommend this place if you get a hankering for some masala while in Hue.

“Best place we've eaten in 4 months of travelling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012 via mobile

4 months of travelling, did USA, new zealand, japan, malaysia, thailand and vietnam... this was the best meal... how I've missed indian food! Chicken vindaloo and Tiger beer. It rivals the decent indians in the UK. Will be back tomorrow!
