I've got to say for a four star rated hotel i was unimpressed. It's not to say the rooms weren't excellent, because the were, had it not been for the rooms the review good of been a lot poorer. The hotel was very costly; entertainments/bar facilities were very over priced approx $7.00 for a drink, much higher than i would pay back home, even in a hotel. The food in the restaurant was very poor and over priced. I had arrived after a very full on stay in Hanoi / Ha Long bay so i was tired and hadn't made any plans.

My planned guide in Hue was unavailable as his family home was effected during the recent bad weather caused by Typhon Parma, he had given me plenty of notice, but i hadn't picked up his email due to lack of email facilities in Ha Long. I ended up using the hotels tour service, priced at $45.00 per day, i thought this was an ok rate, but unfortunately did not go into detail what that included, a big no no, maybe i thought it was through the hotel it would be good quality. However, there was no guide provided, no entry fees or lunch provided. It was basically a taxi service to local sights, which could of been booked privately for approx $5.00.

the computing facilities are very poor and the machines are a security risk, as an IT Professional i did a quick scan of the machines and found that the machines were infested with Viruses, Trojans and unknown service running on a high port number. The staff also appeared to know what i was doing on the machines, possible using remote tools like WinVNC, they seemed to jump and come over an talk to me about my staff when i was on tripadvisor. Needless to say i left my very negative posting when i arrived in a much more respectable hotel.

So to summarise, this hotel offers good quality rooms and excellent facilities such as a pool, bar and other entertainments, however the bar/restaurant facilities are over priced. This would be an excellent stay for someone that has there own tour/arrangements made.

I have to commend the staff, as were all the staff at every hotel I stayed at in Vietnam, they were excellent! On arrival, bellboy quickly grabbed my bags and led me to the front desk. The front desk were gracious and spoke great English. Check in was quick and painless.

The room upon opening the door smelled dingy and was excessively warm. While it's 35celcius in Hue, they save energy but in the process the air in the rooms become almost fetid! I was however to get a second key to keep the room cool while away.

The tv which I didn't turn on was old, as was the furniture in the room. The size of the room was on the generous size. Circa mid 70's green paint covered the walls.

The spa was excessive in price for the service rec'd, but that isn't entirely the fault of the hotel's management.

Good location and nice size pool were it's strong point. My favorite however was sitting at the rooftop hotel for a decent dinner checking out the cool view of Hue!

This hotel has all the amenities required for a pleasurable stay in a lovely city such as Hue. The hotel management and staff are very friendly and efficient. The room that I stayed in was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast room and restaurant is spacious and serves delicious food. Last but not least, the swimming pool is a great place to relax in the late afternoon (with a nice drink). In summary, this is a hotel that I would strongly recommend.

The hotel rooms are relatively quiet - so long as you get/choose one back from the main road. The main elements - room, facilities, dining, free WiFi, etc - are just fine but I rate it highly for two reasons. First, it's good value for money, and second I found the staff to be absolutely charming. I would come back here like a shot - really enjoyed my stay.

Our stay at the Park View Hotel was only two nights, so probably not long enough to give a full report. However, we thought it was comfortable enough with nice big rooms and wonderful reception staff.

What was a very busy street during the day was not too bad at night time. So, a good night's sleep was had by both of us. Pretty good breakfast buffet with good choice of Western & Asian dishes.

The best thing we did in Hue was go on a private tour organised by the hotel's travel desk. Our guide, Singh, was simply the best!

But, the hotel's location was not a real good choice for us. It seemed to be a little too far from the restaurant area near the river.

I booked this hotel because we wanted a pool. We loved the hotel, location was good but not as central as Orchid etc. It is walking distance to the river. It was quiet, large and great views of both the city and river (Deluxe Room) The staff were amazing, probably the best we had in Vietnam. They seemed to know what you wanted or needed before you had to ask. The lobby is elegant, breakfast has a great selection. The pool area was very nice, with great service. The hotel was very clean and new. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend this hotel if you are looking for some comfort, luxury and a pool!
