“Large Rooms - although very tired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

The hotel is very tired, the rooms are large with a comfortable King size bed, but the raised bath in the bathroom is not easy to clamber in and out of! The pool area is relaxing. The buffet breakfast was very basic although it did have the choice of western or Vietnamese food. More than adequate for a short stay.

During my recent visit to Hue, I stayed at Park View Hotel. My first experience on entering the hotel was disappointing as the lobby of the hotel was the airconditioning in the lobby had been turned off. Secondly, the receptionist at check in was not very helpful at all in my request for a a double bed as I was given a twin bed in the hotel. Park View is a modern styled hotel hence, the lobby in enclosed and only the main doors were open. with the summer heat, it was very hot.
The rooms were well appointed and the wifi in the rooms worked well. Good size rooms and fairly large bathrooms. The airconditioning in the corridors were shut off as well, only in the rooms, the airconditioning was working.
Breakfast in the hotel was typical 3 star fair which is fine for me. The location of the hotel is about a 10 minutes walk from the Perfume River.

Its a real pity, the hotel is well maintained accept for the missing aircon and not so friendly receptionist that spoilt the stay.

Room Tip: The rooms are fine and large enough and comfortable

We had a 3 night stay at the Park View Hotel in March 2012 and were pleasantly surprised with the standard of this well located hotel. We arrived late, check-in was smooth and we were lucky to be allocated room 603, which even had a small balcony! The bed was huge and one of the most comfortable I have slept in! I wanted to take it home. :-) The rooms were very clean and the staff appeared to take pride in their work, with facilities at the hotel, including outdoor pool and an excellent spa, well above the standard 3 star.
Breakfast was included in our package and was of the usual buffet type, including western and asian choices. We didn't have any meals other than breakfast so can't comment.
We were able to hire good quality bikes through the front desk for an interesting ride out to Thuan An Beach.
From the hotel we could walk to most places in town, including The Citadel and the Perfume River, and there were plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
Would not hesitate to recommend the Park View for anyone looking for value and cleanliness.

Room Tip: 608 had a tiny balcony which overlooked the pool, and across to the spa.

Stayed two nights before catching the Reunification Express north to Hanoi. Overall the hotel is very good and we would stay there again. Our room was large and clean. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfasts were very good with a choice of Vietnamese and Western foods available. The hotel is located close to cafes and restaraunts while Hue Citadel (Imperial City) and Perfume River are not far away. We visited during the Hue Festival (held every two years) which apparently meant more activity than usual. Finally, the hotel allowed us a late check out (at no extra cost) and the use of the pool and internet while we waited for our train which departed at 17:11. A great stay.

Room Tip: If catching the train to Hanoi try to arrange a late check out.

Nice hotel, though when it's hot the swimming pool is warm not refreshing. WiFi is available but not necessarily from your room. The lobby/reception area is open therefore no air-conditioning. Staff have minimum English , otherwise a good hotel:)

Our room was large with an enormous bed, nicely furnished and quiet. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast good. A beautiful pool is available. We would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we checked in to the checkout, we ware very happy. Beside the large and clean room we had, the staff were friendly and kind. We were surprised at what we've got and the price we paid, it's much better as we'd thought. We'd definitely stay again once we come back Vietnam.
