“Excellent value; super clean; fantastic staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2011

Our hotel in Hanoi (Madam Moon's Guesthouse) recommended the Beautiful Saigon Hotel. We stayed here five nights (room #301). Small, boutique hotel in District 1. Easy walk to many sights and great restaurants. Breakfast was included and served in the lobby each morning. (Their sister hotel, Beautiful Saigon II, has a restaurant which serves very good food.) Our room was $40/night. Comfy bed (the best bed in Vietnam -- most beds were like rocks!). Had a computer w/internet in our room. Miss Hanh was an excellent concierge -- she help book train tickets between Saigon-Danang and tours of the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels. The front desk staff was equally helpful -- friendly and full of smiles.

The hotel arranged for us to have use of room #303 on the day we checked out because we were taking the midnight train to Danang. It was lovely to have a place to shower, pack, and nap before a 15-hour train ride. #303 was much smaller than our original room, and didn't have a computer, but is was clean and comfortable. This would be an excellent room for a solo traveller.

You could here some street noise in both room, but hey -- this is Ho Chi Minh City. If you want peace and quiet, head to the coast or to the mountains. HCMC is a bustling metropolis!

We would definitely stay here again should we ever find ourselves in HCMC.

I stayed in this Hotel for 10 weeks during my time in Ho Chi Minh City. My room was very very clean every day, the staff was incredibly friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them when I got home every day from work. The location in Bui Vien is great, you always have taxis and Xe Om's around and the hotel staff can help you with everything you need! You have Wifi in the room and a computer downstairs! Don't miss the noodle soup or the banana pancake for breakfast which is included!! I can only recommend this hotel! :-)

This is a good little hotel in the backpacker district. Very conveniently located. The rooms are nice, albeit a bit small but for the price, great value! Very clean and all the amenities you need in Vietnam - soft bed, good towels, TV, A/C and hot water! The service is absolutely second to none and the airport pickup at 1am was a nice way to begin my vacation. I've stayed just off the strip and noticed no real difference in outside noise. My only complaint was the amount of inner hotel noise - at all hours of the morning, starting at 5am I was able to hear the cleaning crew, hotel guests, etc...all echoing through the halls. I just put my earplugs in and went back to sleep. It is also a nice perk to have an elevator since climbing those tiny stairs can be dangerous with larger than size 5 feet! :~) Overall a great value and recommended.

Room Tip: Book online - I went in low season so I didn't have an issue but when I went in March I needed t...

I organised a group of 10 people to stay at Beautiful Saigon for 3 nights and then a final night before our departure. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. The staff are wonderful and offered good suggestions. This was my 6th visit to Vietnam and I was completely satisfied. I had stayed at Bich Duyen several times and found Beautiful Saigon far superior for only a few more dollars.
Centrally located, close to Bien Thienh Market and right in the middle of the backpack area.
We were able to book some extra rooms for a half day which gave us time to rest before our evening flight.
Very highly recommended.

Sparkling -clean and compact, this small hotel is in the heary of Pham Ngu Lao with a fab choice of places to eat and be entertained. It is superbly run by a team of friendly, smiley staff.
Arriving in tthe morning after a trip on the night train from Da Nang, we were welcomed and offered breakfast and early check-in.
Our room was at the front of the hotel with some street noise but also a good spotting place to watch the action in Bui Vien Street below. It was freshly and tastefully decorated with welcoming fruit basket,
The lobby morphes into a breakfast room for complimentary breakfast in the morning. with baguette, fresh fruit, variety of omlette, cornflakes to choose from.

The Beautiful Saigon Hotel is located right in the heart of the HCMC backpacker district providing excellent accommodation within a few steps from countless bars and restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel for the first 3 nights of our third trip to Vietnam. We opted for a superior room overlooking the Go2 bar and were very happy with the size of the room, facilities and services provided including onward bus ticket bookings.

All staff were very welcoming, spoke English well and went out of their way to provide assistance when possible.

Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Room Tip: Get up early for breakfast, limited seating is available in the lobby.
