“Great location for an overnight stay close to airport.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

Great value, including free airport transfers even when our outbound flight was changed and it meant a 4.30am start. They even offered to provide us with a breakfast pack. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was suitable, clean and all amenities provided. We didn't eat at the hotel as there were lots of local places to discover in the side streets.
Would recommend if you need somewhere close to the airport.

Having been denied access to our flight, the airline (who will remain nameless) offered to compensate us, due to their error, by footing the bill at First Hotel for two nights. They informed us that this venue was a four star hotel.

The hotel is situated on a busy roundabout approximately 15 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City airport, which for an overnight business trip would be ideal. The hotel was clean and the staff accommodating, although their English somewhat limited.

Although the room was small and the bathroom even smaller, it also was clean and the bed comfortable.

The food was, in my opinion, not what I would expect from a four star hotel, neither was the fact that although the hotel advertises that certain elements of the venue are located in its wings, suggesting a much grander building than what was. When in actual fact you had to exit the main building and cross an extremely busy road in order to access the swimming pool, restaurants, spa and fitness centre. Again, not what I expected of a four star hotel.

Having experienced the pool area, although the pool itself looked very well maintained, the surrounding area appeared grubby and in need of refreshing.

In conclusion, this hotel is ideal for a one night layover for the businessman. I cannot comment on the conference rooms, which it said were available for hire, as I did not experience these first hand.

This is a great hotel for a short stop near the airport. From our welcome drink to airport drop-off, staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean and facilities are good. Two thumbs up to the 24 hour restaurant that caters to every form of jet lag!

Very good value. But,more important, efficient, clean, friendly and convenient.
Only one night but I'd return.Nothing to complain about really. Not much to see in the area but we dined at the restaurant around the pool and it was excellent. The place is a bit weird with casinos, receptions, multiple restaurants but it has character.

I stayed here for one night as I couldn't get a connecting flight on arrival. It fits the bill - rooms clean, if small, and the benefit of free transfers to and from the airport is valuable. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast ok, nothing special, but I would stay here again in similar circumstances.

Stayed here in the new wing on our last night before flying home, close to the airport and had a swimming pool which was another reason for choosing this hotel. Airport pick up good and staff very helpful and polite, room was clean and a good size. What I did not appreciate was the restaurants were either across the road or 30m to the right was the grill restaurant and the swimming pool. The grill restaurant was very large with about 200+ people already eating there and very noisy. You have to get a ticket from reception when going to the pool for your towels and sunbed. There were also many locals using the pool especially later in the afternoon, this we could not understand, also being at street level it was not private at all and very noisy from the works being carried out in the adjoining streets. At all the other hotels we stayed in during our trip this was the only one which did not offer either a room or their spar to shower and change, all they offered was the pool changing room which was a large wet room so no privacy and very wet floors, this is not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel, the only alternative they offered was a room but at a cost of 50% of the room rate, bit of a rip off.

Stayed here 2 nights on my business trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Booked the hotel on recommendation from our distributor but it turned out to be a bad choice, bathroom was as small as it can get..more like a standard old European property,

Rooms were OK, it would be hard to find a power plug in the room! ,there was stale smell from the restaurant, not much choice on the menu either!

Most staff they have would not understand English and it makes your stay bit difficult :-)
