I travelled throughout Vietnam and stayed in a variety of hotels ranging from $15 to $275 a night. I stayed at An An hotel for a few nights when I arrived in Vietnam and another night after a Mekong tour I took through Sinh Cafe (which was actually amazing). I also stayed at the highly rated Bich Duyen a month later when I returned to Saigon to depart for Japan.
The hotel is an an absolutely perfect location, a stones throw away from De Tham. The sister location is actually located on the intersection of De Tham and Bui Vien, though I quickly tired of the area. The rooms are large, the internet is free and fast, and the front desk will convert dollars to dong. The bathrooms are nice, with a tub separated shower. There is an elevator, and although slow, saves you a long stair ride.
At ~$55/night, I would think that An An is one of the more expensive hotels in the area. There are definitely cheaper lodging solutions around, but I doubt any of these accommodations are nicer.
