“Great price for beers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Really cheap beers! Singapore beers are not too cheap so it's really a great experience! I had the usual sausage with beer, very yummy! There's lots of space for alfresco dining.

I don't like that there are lots of smokers at the alfresco dining area. I chose alfresco for the ambience and the natural air, so have to put up with cigarette smoke.

“Good German fare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

This second time I visited was at lunchtime. It was really quiet with few people there, not too sure why, maybe its the fact that they keep the windows / doors open / ajar to the outside seating (for smokers) and that keeps the place a bit too warm for a lunchtime meal. Great if you're a smoker, but I'm not.
They have a good light lunchtime selection at a reasonable price, the main menu is rather heavy for a lunchtime bite.
Things became noisy when the next table filled up with 4 mums and 4 babies / toddlers. Staff looked after them well! ... but a bit too noisy for a business meeting.
Service was efficient and attentive.
You can purchase (and they will deliver) a wide range of bread too.
All in all I still like the place and love the sausages!

“Upmarket German bar keeping up high standards”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Having been before and sampled their beers - they have normal lagers, dark and wheat beers from The brewers Hofbrau and Paulaner - we were entertaining friends and wanted to eat as well. Our waiter was v attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty and helped with the food menu. We ordered the platter which we'd seen before - an impressive display of German meats inc sausages, snitzel and Pork Knuckle - plenty for the four of us to share. The inside is nicely decorated although we opted to sit out on the balcony which was great. It's not cheap especially by Viet Nam standards but definitely worth the extra for good draught beer and the food actually works out pretty reasonable once divided up. We'll be back again soon.
