Went tonight with three Chinese frends for bit of Irish craic and banter. I'm Irish myself so was looking forward to introducing them to a little bit of Irishness. Friday night in Saigon so we thought the place would be hopping.. It was 10pm and we were the only people there. There were no Irish staff only one drunk English guy who appeared to be the "Manager" and two or three Vietnamese staff who couldn't speak much English and had no idea of Customer Service - a lot of training wouldn't go amiss. This place is not a Irish bar, it's an English bar with rubbish flat beer on tap, and no wifi. We were charged 55,000 for a pint of muck, plus 10% VAT - so over 60,000. My friend ordered an orange juice and the price was 60,000 plus 10%, so 66,000. I've been a month in Vietnam, travelling all over the country and the most expensive price I saw for Orange Juice was 30,000 - less than half the price. When I complained to the waitress, she just looked at me with her mouth open. Do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere it will be appreciated, with real hospitality. This place is a kip.
