There isn't much to be revealed under the surface here. I may have missed any particular historical significance to the building aside from the colonial architecture, but I'm not sure if this is a must-see or worthy of the place it seems to hold in so many guide books. But it's across the street from the Notre Dame Cathedral, so if you have 10 minutes you might as well check it out.
And I did find the historic maps on the wall and bank of old-fashioned phone booths to be rather charming.
