The Caravelle is a lovely hotel in a great central location. The staff are fantastic - very accommodating. On arrival we were offered a $65 per night upgrade - incl breakfast (about 100 options!), and wine and canapes in the signature lounge. We took this up as we recieved a good deal on the room (40% off) and it was fantastic to have b'fast sorted each day. At night it is nice to sit in the signature lounge and people watch down on the street. The canapes are substantial enough that if you've had a big day you could have a variety of canapes and a couple of glasses of wine and be content.

Hopefully you like Opera as it is likely you will wake up to a performance each morning across the road!

This luxury hotel had great service, great rooms, great food and a great spa!

We had no fault with this hotel and stayed here for 3 nights!
It was the first stop on a 9 day trip of Vietnam and it was a great start!
Check in was seamless, and our room was beautiful with views of the entire city!
Breakfast was such a treat and we ate so much we didn't need to eat till dinner time as every cuisine is catered for.

The pool and day spa are world class and i enjoyed a pedicure whilst watching my fiance swimming around in the pool and having cocktails at the swim up bar!

The staff were amazing and spoke great english! We booked out speed boat cu-chi tunnels tour through them and all the transport was provided and prices reasonable!

The Caravelle is also known for its roof top bars which has a great live band and great atmosphere! We had dinner here one night and enjoyed some Vietnamese beers!

I would definitely recommended this hotel if you want a 5 star hotel with all the amenities, a prime location and want help with booking tours.

Room Tip: Get a room high up and ask for views of the city! Try the day spa it is so luxurious!

Amazing location downtown, surrounded by plenty of food and high end shopping centres.
Easy walking distance to almost everything.
Staff are abundant and very helpful.
Breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever had, you want to be very hungry cause at like $22USD each its pretty pricey considering you are surrounded by options, you can definitely get your moneys worth though if your hungry.
The only downside of our stay was that the pool was not open when were stayed, which would have been amazing in the heat.
Great gym especially for a hotel

Room Tip: If you enjoy a bit of a drink then definitely worth upgrading to the signature package. Try to stay...

Caravelle was a solid hotel for our two night stay in HCM. My husband and I arrived after midnight at SGN airport so we arranged for the hotel to have a car transfer pick us up. So glad we did bc it was real late so the streets were a bit dead plus we heard and read about the sketchy taxi services, so it was a pleasant sense of relief being privately picked up. To our surprise we were scooped up in a nice Mercedes sedan which was unexpected. Upon arrival they already knew who we were (I'm guessing bc we were the last people to probably check in that night), checked in and went right to our room. For HCM standards we were told that Caravelle was one of the nicer hotels and we would agree. The rooms were clean, good sized, and felt very warm. The beds were comfy and so were the pillows! They have a pillow menu for any pillow snobs out there so don't worry about poor/flat pillows. The bathroom was an OK size and had nice toiletries. My only suggestion would be an upgrade on the showers but nothing to be upset about. Being that we were out touring the city, we only came back to shower and sleep but that was just perfect for us. Oh, the gym was also a plus and probably one of the more impressive ones for any hotel, especially abroad. Overall the staff was very nice and greeted you anytime you passed them. The location is also pretty central as well. This hotel is highly recommended.

The. Historic wing was a joy to stay in. The balcony provided an excellent view of the opera and watching all the bikes and cars driving in their own special way THe buffets at all three meals were extraordinary. The final bit of excellence was the staff. The manager and concierge were extremely helpful no matter how often I asked questions we left feeling we had made friends. And all the staff were friendly and helpful as well. I would love to return their soon. Thank you Caravelle.

This was our first trip to Ho Chi Minh so we didn't have a clue about hotels, areas etc. We really got it right by choosing this hotel. This is the first luxury hotel in Ho Chi Minh, the Caravelle set the bench mark and the others followed. It is right in the middle of "District 1" which is the city centre, surrounded by good restaurants and their "Saigon Saigon" roof top bar is fantastic. The staff here are really great, can't do enough to help. We booked several trips, our guide and driver were awesome. The best way to describe this hotel is classic luxury, it's not as flash as some of the other hotels in the area but the atmosphere and elegance really shines through. We also stayed at the Intercontinental on our way back through Ho Chi Minh but I wish that we had booked the Caravelle again. I would definitely book here again. Complimentary internet everywhere in the hotel - in a lot of the other hotels, including the Intercontinental, you have to pay extra which, in this day and age, is crazy.
