Stayed here for two nights as part of trip out to one of Vietnam's new ports. The Sheraton has a great location in district 1 of HCMC. Service generally seemed good, I didn't spend that much time in the hotel though.
The rooms were good with very comfortable beds, a very good sized bathroom and nice sensible work desk. Was told breakfast was good though never made it there myself. Based on the price paid and the location would choose Sheraton over Caravelle.

The Sheraton is in the middle of downtown Ho Chi Minh (District 1). It is surrounded by good shopping and restaurant sites. It is modern and well maintained, the rooms are better that average standard and the staff are very helpful and attentive. They have a good buffet dining room that has a better than average breakfast and dinner spread.

Lovely location, about 5 minutes away from the central area of Ho Chi Minh. Surrounded by lots of local cuisine outlets (right opposite is the Bombay Hotel). Good pool though small in size.

This was my first visit to the country and I was quite impressed!

Our stay at the Sheraton was sub-pare, we stayed in the regular hotel part, not the grand tower. We had requested a non-smoking room and upon entering the room it was very apparent that our request had not been honored. Rooms furnishings are dated and the hotel could use an overhaul. Furthermore, internet was charged at an exorbitant rate. For a hotel that is labeled as 5 stars, it is definitely lacking.
