We spent 3 nights at the Equatorial and enjoyed clean, quiet triple rooms with gigantic comfortable beds for US$150 pn including breakfast.

The hotel is not near many eateries but it's no hassle to get into the city. There's a regular if not very frequent shuttle bus into central Saigon and taxis are cheap and easy to come by.

The buffet breakfast is enormous and diverse, the pool is a godsend after a sticky day of exploration, and the concierge will bend over backwards to organise flights, tours etc.

This is a slick western-style hotel with western-style prices.

The hotel is located in district 5 ,10 mins from Disctrict 1 and the hotel provides free shuttle bus every 1 hour.
The staff are great and if you book the club room you will have access to the lounge which serves drinks and snacks all day and alcoholic drinks between 5-7pm. We pais USD138.00 for executive club room with lounge access, breakfast and Chit Chat cafe and USD38.00 credit to eat at Orientica.
The breakfast is very good selection of western and asian food. The Orientica restaurant is really nice with great value dishes and amazing decor. The set menus are between 20-35USD and are very good selection. The club room was on the 9th floor with balcony. These rooms are renovated. The club room also gives you late check ot at 16.00 free of charge.
The pool is good size and always sunny. Nice gym and great value spa .
The hotel is not as luxury as Sheraton or Hyatt but very good value and great restaurants.

We stayed here in September 2007. Hotel room,which overlooked the pool and city, was very clean and comfortable.
Hotel lived upto its 5 star rating. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially as we had some trouble on arrival with our onward journey/lack of details from our agent in London.They couldnt be more helpful in sorting our our problems.
Buffet was fantastic, best we've had.
The new fish restaurant looked nice but lacked bit of atmosphere as it was on the 2nd floor, the bar area of restaurant was very nice, but again really lacked atmosphere/people. We were athe only ones sitting there for pre meal drinks! Hotel could do with a bar in the lobby area, which we understand they did have but have closed due to the new one and restuarant on the 2nd floor. However, as this is the hub of hotel would be nice to have bar here to watch the world going by!
The main restaurant was very good, breakfast superb, so much choice both western and asian cuisine.
Would definitely return and stay here again.

This is our 2nd visit to the Equatorial in Saigon having stayed there in Sept 2005. We booked here again as our 1st stay was our 1st experience of Vietnam and we wanted to see if our memories were correct , so even though we were only staying 1 night en route to Phan Thiet it was a unanimous decision to stay again.

The staff are and were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. It may be out of town but what's a small taxi ride, the hotel more than makes up for its lack of city centre status. Once again we tried the barbeque buffet on a Friday night, exceptional!!!! We all agreed that throughout our travels during this trip, this was our best meal (NO we are not easy to please). One of our Group did not want the buffet they only wanted something basic, nothing was too hard, they prepared a meal to our exact requirements. Their motto is if we can do it we will.

We loved our short stay at the Equatorial, we have also stayed at the Equatorial in Penang but have to say that where the Equatorial Saigon leads, the others only follow.

Once again, execeptional staff, exceptional hotel, whenever we stay in Saigon again it will be at the Equatorial.
