“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

This hotel is fine but be aware it is very close to the airport but not close to the areas of the city where all of the action can be found. The service was good and breakfast well above average - much better than Movenpick, Hanoi.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our tour of Vietnam; we did actually have 2 rooms as the stay was split by a trip to the Mekong Delta.
Both rooms were a good size and well equipped, the breakfast in the hotel probably had the best and largest selection we saw on the whole trip. We didn’t eat in the hotel and whilst we had a couple of drinks in the bar it was equivalent to London prices. The hotel does have restaurants in walking distance but to get into town you will need a taxi ,the restaurant across the road from the hotel does offer good food, although not as cheap as some of the others.
The hotel was more than adequate but it does have the feel of a business hotel. On the web site it does say there is free wifi as there is in most hotels, however in the Movenpick its only offered to people who have paid a high room rate. You can get access in the Bar on the 3rd floor but reception is not great.
We did also stay at the Park Royal in Saigon after our flight was delayed and we felt the Movenpick was a better hotel.

This hotel is located in a very busy part of HCMC. It's near the airport which is why we stayed here.
We ate dinner at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel--excellent food and service.
The room was nice and appeared clean but it smelled very, very musty. Our family was staying in another room down the hall and it smelled the same. We were only staying one night so we didn't bother complaining.
This is definitely a business person's hotel although the surcharge for Wi-fi was really high!
I will stay somewhere else next trip.

Room Tip: Room layout is small but comfortable. Would've been a better night's rest if the smell hadn...

I stayed at the hotel during a business trip. It was conveniently located near the airport. The best thing about the hotel is their Executive Club benefits. The complimentary services in the Executive Club lounge are nice, especially the evening appetizers and drinks. The International Buffet Breakfast at Cafe Saigon was excellent, with every variety of foods you imagine. However, beware of the massages offered at the spa. If you want a relaxing massage, make sure to emphasize "relaxing". Otherwise you might receive a deep tissue massage and not be able to relax for several days. Overall it is a good hotel..

Stayed at Moevenpick HCMC in early February and was very impressed. Friendly welcome at airport by driver, hassle free check in and a great room with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!

Breakfast was great with a generous spread of dishes.

Overall a great stay from start to finish

After staying in five star hotels in Thailand, we were somewhat disappointed by this hotel. It had all the amenities choice of restaurants, business centre, swimming pool, executive lounge etc. to meet the five star categories, but not the style or quality of furnishings and fittings. would have rated it more 3.5 stars. I had booked an executive room so at least expected a king size bed rather than the double in the room with better quality pillows and linen. While the bathroom had a good rain shower there was no bath. The quality of food in the restaurant even when ordered a la carte tasted more buffet than freshly cooked. The location is good if you're on business and want to be out of the city and close to the airport but not recommended if you want to savour the vibrancy of the city throughout your stay. On a plus side the staff were friendly and helpful particularly in the executive lounge.
