May is a little bit tucked away, but if you give your taxi driver the address they should be able to find it. It's near the zoo and close to where Nguyen Thi Minh Kai and Hoang Sa intersect. The lovely colonial building and furniture gives the impression that the restaurant will be expensive, but it is actually very reasonable. You can sit on the ground floor or climb the stairs to other floors where there are little rooms tucked away. If you carry on further you'll reach the rooftop terrace with views of the local buildings. It's a great place to visit in a group as you can order lots of dishes to share, but the romantic ambiance also makes it a great option for couples. The food is beautifully presented and tastes delicious. The staff are attentive but not overbearing. I live in the city and May has become a firm favorite to take friends and family who are visiting. Would absolutely recommend.
