“Very pleasant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for three days, two nights in February 2013. Room was quite big and the beds were very comfortable and clean. Had a tv and a fridge and a nice view across the park. Nice location beside the market and not too far fron the train station. Also close to a lot of bars and restaurants and, provided you don't get lost, walking distance to sone of the museums. Staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Only problem was that the fan and air conditioning were beside each other on the wall so the air didn't circulate well meaning one half of the room was always a little too cold while the other a little too hot. Overall a very nice place to stay.

I stayed for 6d5n in superior double room, this is a minute-walk to Ben Thanh market, and so convenient if you will be taking bus 152 from airport as the bus terminal is just across ben thanh market. I was a bit uncomfortable that our room has no window but eventually it was okay. I find this area peaceful at night as it is away from bars at Pang Ngu Lao street. There is a pawnshop in the corner opposite ben thanh market where we always have our dollars change each time we run out of dong. Love this area, as is also just less than 2 USD by taxi to the clinic where I had an appointment for three days. There's also a good street soup and iced coffee in the corner along Truong Dinh where we always dine. The staff were all friendly and very helpful in giving directions.

We had a very good experience with the staff of Thanh Tu in Saigon. Akayan assisted us to find another hotel at a better rate off the street when we decided to stay another night but the hotel was full. English of staff was also quite good. Location for the markets - only a stones throw from hotel.

Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Beds were a tough rubber, and the fire alarms were badly maintained. We also didn't understand why we were required to pay more for another room when we only got another table and extra leg room while we missed out on having a window.

Stayed for 3 mights. Strategically located in ben thanh area.. just 2 mt walk to the mkt. Deluxe room of 35usd is big with very cold air cond.. the bed and bathroom a bit outdated and too dark in colour. Room not sound proof can hear noises from outside of the room..not for a light sleeper. For muslim easy to get halal food just across the hotel. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay near ben thanh then this hotel is the choice... but if u want a bit more comfort, modern looking hotel then this is not for you...

Hotel is located near Ben Tam Market. It's not a glamore)) but very useful for buying fruits in the night or sim-card. Very clean and comfortable room with air-cond., big bathroom... Only one cons of the room - without window. There have been my first experience to wake up in full darkness inspite of the blue sky behind the hotel's walls.... - not very pleasant.... But big pros - very friendly staff, they can help you with all your problems and questions!

Room Tip: If you have big luggage - you may have some problem because of additional stairs from the lift on ea...

Location - The hotel location is very strategic as it is very close (2 min walk) to Bien Thanh market during day time. At night you can enjoy the night market. For muslims, in front of the hotel Halal food (Basiroh) in the nearest place you can go, since it quite hard to find halal food.

Rooms - The room is comfortable and clean. Although it's very basic but nothing to complain. Stay for 25usd pernight. The wifi connection very good if compared to other hotel review or i can say excellent =).

Others - It is easy to get taxi (Vinasun) in front of the hotel or you can get help for the staff.
There is no breakfast provided by this hotel.

Tips:
-For muslim i suggest to bring food if you going to stay for quite some times and with no travel agent.
-Taxi fare from airport to hotel (Ben Thanh area) should be around 150,000-170,000 or 7 or 8usd. Ask the taxi driver firs on the fare.
-Money changer, choose the one near the hotel ( jewellery shop), it will give you best rate.
