My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights over New Years. We booked well in advance of our trip, including with our planned evening arrival time on the 31st, but somehow no one from the hotel bothered to tell us that the street on which it's located was going to be shut down. It took us a tremendously long time to get there, including walking with all of our bags through throngs of partygoers.
When we arrived -- we'd booked a Superior Double with a City View on a high floor -- we were taken to a Standard room with no window on the first floor. It was only when I pointed out the discrepancy that the manager acknowledged the problem and lamely handed us a couple of breakfast vouchers for the next day to compensate.
From reading other reviews, this hotel seems to have a bad habit of loading up on higher paying guests and then stuffing some into cheaper rooms with a free breakfast to compensate. That's not good behavior.
Though they did switch us on the second day, and the lady who worked the desk was as kind and accommodating as can be (she put her male colleagues to shame), even knocking off a few bucks from the total bill, it didn't remove the bad taste from our mouth.
The rooms, by the way, do not resemble those in the photo. Far more basic.
The best thing the hotel has going for it -- the breakfast is anemic compared to other, cheaper places we stayed in Hanoi -- is its location, which is smack dab in the center of the city and quietly located down an alley.
Without this, it would just be another imitator popping up in Vietnam that pretends to be something it's not.
I guess you may want to call and email repeatedly before arriving to ensure that you're getting...

Many thanks for taking the time to review us on the tripadvisor and we are pleased to learn that you really enjoyed the central location and the level of services with us.
As our hotel's location is just off the main road of Le Loi Boulevard that is the center of center of Saigon. Therefore, any festive the City Government will decorate the Le Loi Boulevard and not allow cars coming to the City, only Pedestrian. Since you booked thru the Online Travel Agent, we can't inform as we don't have your e-mail address.
In any cases, since you are not completely satisfied with your stay with us, that is absolutately our shortage of services provided and we sincerely apologize for this unconveniences.
