“Nice hostel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

I stayed in this hostel for only 2 nights, in a 2 bed air cond dorm room. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was helpful and friendly and the location was good too. Will definitely stay here again in future.

This newly renovated hostel is located in a quiet and convenient area between 2 busy streets of Saigon's District 1. I stayed in its 4-bed air-con dorm room for 4 nights and i really like it. The rooms are sparkling clean. Metal lockers are provided in the room. The reasonable room rates include free breakfast too. The staff here are really friendly and helpful, makes this a place you feel like home..

Saigon youth hostel was my first accomodation in Vietnam.I stayed for ten days.I was impressed with the staff who were professional and helpful and very likeable.
The building itself is well made and everything seems to be in good working order. It is also a good place for meeting fellow travellers. The reception area is comfortable and is where the free breakfast is eaten,if you like the plug in drug there is a decent television and a nice guitar which I made a noise on probably too many times.
A good quiet location, popular bars etc. just around the corner.

Room Tip: Ground floor room can be a little noisey in mornings due to its proximity to kitchen.

For $15, I had my own room with A/C and a bathroom. What more could you ask for to get away from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh.

The hostel is close to all the action and the staff was friendly.

Right in the middle of the backpackers area in Ho Chi Minh is this very clean, cosy hostel situated. The staff is very friendly, helpful and social. The dorms are small, for example only 4 persons per dorm, which makes sleeping easier. And the individual locker in your room is also an advantage, together with your own reading light and power plug. Nice is the lobby where you easily meet new people during the free breakfast, watching a movie or just hanging around. When I'm back in Ho Chi Minh I would definitely stay here again!!

Great location just off the backpacker road. Means less noise during the night if you're keen for a nap. But if you're keen to party it up, you're not far! Hostel organised all the trips and buses for us which meant we could just sit back and enjoy our stay. Dorm rooms were clean and cozy! Small breakfast, but with masses of fresh baguettes around the corner you may choose that option. Perfect for the general backpacker!

As with most hostels in Saigon, this one is located in a side street between two main streets. It is well presented and clean. We stayed in a double room for two night which was a bit on the small side but fine. Our bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was great, we didn't have to leave it on when we left for the day. The room also had a television and a mini fridge.

The staff were great and when we wanted to stay an extra night they booked us into a sister hostel at a slightly discounted rate. Beware: I used the reception computer and did find that my information was hacked into afterwards. They offer for you to leave your luggage on the day you are leaving until 9pm and give you the option of showering when you come to pick it up. For the price you pay it is a great place.
