I have stayed at la jolie hotel for almost three months and i rate this hotel very highly. The management and staff are extremely helpful and do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are cleaned efficiently every day .My room has a wonderful view over the Saigon river. The food is very good. The hotel is perfectly positioned in District 1 just off the side of the hustle and bustle of downtown saigon but within easy walking distance of everything.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

We went on a girls trip recently and found this online. The pictures looks great and the prices seems ok. The place is a newly renovated very small hotel squeezed in-between other similar 3 star hotels. They had no area for our driver to park his vehicle so every time it came to pick up and drop off it was a huge rush to get on and off otherwise huge masses of buses and other vehicles would complain. Even though there is a underground carpark and a little car driveway the driver was not permitted to standby there to wait for us.

The rooms are just like the pictures, clean and furnished nicely. However, they are stuffy, small and as people walk pass your room you can hear every aspect of there conversation.

They have a resort, massage and spa there. It is nicely renovated however, the prices are off the charts. They charge the same as would a 5 star hotel. I have been to the Carravelle hotel spa and that was amazing and worth the high price. This place was even more expensive and is nothing like that experience.

The buffet breakfast was ok. However once again seeing that we were foreign they over charged us. E.g. a coconut juice normally 20 cents everywhere else they would charge $10 AUD (when our dollar was higher than USD). It so annoying to be ripped off but what can you do. Not my country, don't know how to complain efficiently.

Hope this helps.

Reserved a room but unexpectedly was cancelled by the hotel. They redirected me to another of their Silver..... Group hotel nearby. Cannot remember the name! But that hotel was clean and well maintained.
Checked into La Jolie 3 days later after returning from Vung Tau. The room and toilet was reasonably big. Had a window viewing the river. Toilet has a jacuzzi but never had the chance to use it. The bad thing about the toilet is that after every shower, the entire floor was wet! Leakage from the shower bin.
If u like to party, the popular Apocalypse Bar is just next door! Very convenient!! Stay on the higher floors of the hotel to avoid the BLASTING loud music from the bar.

Room Tip: High floor to avoid loud music

Have stayed at La Jolie several times during the last few months and have never been disappointed. The manager, Miss Ann, is wonderful, and makes you feel like a valued friend and guest. The rooms are nicely appointed and quiet. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had in five years of traveling SEA, with a nice selection of Western and Asian items. The spa is also well done and a great way to relax at the end of the day.

Just stayed here from 12 to 14 Jun'12.The hotel is not easy to locate as it is along a small lane. Though it is a 3 star hotel, the hotel lobby and room looked impressive. Breakfast was 80% the same variety over my 2 nights stay. The staffs are always willing to help when we request for their services. We tried the Swedish massage with the discount of 50% plus the voucher value of 100,000 VND given to us. For 2 persons, the final cost was 880,000 vnd which is about US$44. Worth the money to try it out.

Nice average hotel. Clean and comfortable standard room. Stayed for 2 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. One of the few hotels with spa facilities. Enjoyed the spa and massage. Had a 50% discount promotion at the time of our stay. Worth the value, except at the evening, the staff were in a hurry to go home. The massage time was speeded up. Location is off the busy city center, in a quiet street. Near to the Saigon River - walking distance. Does not overlook the river though as advertised when booking online.

Room Tip: Rooms do not have much of a view. Front room view to the street. Side room view to the rooftops.

There are so many hotels in Saigon to choose from, and La Jolie Hotel & Spa is a good option for all round criteria: price, location, cleanliness & service. Service is probably at a premium here: when you arrive, the staff greet you with genuine smiles and warmth. Secondly, cleanliness is tip-top: in the afternoon one day, one housekeeping staff was polishing the floor near the elevator. The hotel interior is pleasantly designed -- not too gaudy (unlike many other hotels in Vietnam that overwhelm you with marble and classical European interiors that don't fit into Vietnamese culture). The breakfast has a wide spread, enough to fill you that you dont need to eat lunch afterwards. Having said all these, I hope that the owners would maintain this level of service and quality of interiors -- because in so many countries, hotels begin nice, but go downhill years later as a result of poor maintenance, upkeep and management.
