I am a carnivore, plain, simple, no questions about it. Samba is a "Brazilian style" restaurant (been to some real ones...) and this place is not even close except in how they position themselves. All negatives. Priced at VND550,000++ which is cheap for a good Brazilian place but expensive for Vietnam, the expectation at all you care to eat is wonderful.....and that is where this review takes a dive. Enter. Sit. Order drink. I did not want beer or wine as I was meeting friends later....3 times I was asked why (not if) I was not drinking wine. Hmmmm. Waited and waited for the meat to start...helps if a plate is present. Asked the Maitre D for a plate....."oh, don't you want the salad bar?". No....want meat. No plate. And this game continued until I finally took a plate from the salad bar, empty, and sat back down. Meat comes......over cooked, over salted. The rule at places like this is that the servers with the skewered meat come continuously, you turn a green/red coin over when you do/don't want meat......service here was the opposite.....came only when I asked for the next.....
So you see how the meal went...but it goes down further....the salad bar (extra, btw) - I like my rabbit food just fine, but after the meat.....salad bar was mostly starchy items (potatoes, potato salad, macaroni salad...some greens and vegetables but not much.
There are two other Brazilian restaurants in town along with Amigos (Friday all you care to eat) which are far far better at a slightly higher price...go there, pay the higher fees and enjoy your meal vs throwing money out on this place.
Summary: waste of money, a bad meal, stay away.
