The ambience created by Baba's smart choice of colour and artificial lighting was superb. Members of their staff were efficient. Several small tables were pulled together quickly to form a larger table upstairs which gave us plenty of space and excellent ventilation for all nine of us under the fans. There were many customers but we did not feel uncomfortable with our seating upstairs. The dishes arrived with very good presentation, flavour and taste. The chefs were clearly experts in traditional Indian cooking. We found that the combination of foods was excellent, having taken a few recommendations of the very friendly waiter who took our order. We specified that we liked more beans in the vegetarian korma and it arrived with the right proportion of beans cooked with the right timing. The green curry was exceptionally good. All dishes were very well received by every one and the quantity was just right. The food quality was great and there was nothing that we did not like. Even the one who had no preference for spicy dishes enjoyed the meal. The bill was very reasonable, at US$7 per person net. There was no extravagant decoration or fancy furniture and the management minimized waste of time and floor space which probably accounted for the reasonable prices for patrons. This restaurant could still made a profit because of the volume of business due to its reputation!
