First, you should know that there are three Beautiful Saigon hotels situated right next to one another, and some of the pics and descriptions I've read do not apply to this property. Apparently, they differ, so it pays to know which one you are booking. My room had none of the shower/toilet issues that others have mentioned. It was a big, beautiful bathroom with a great rain shower and all new fixtures. New flatscreen TV, a computer in the room, and great, fast WiFi. A posting I read complained about too many tourists and not enough "authentic" restaurants in the area. Nonsense. Perhaps that contributor wasn't able to walk a block or two. There are restaurants of every type--from cheesy Western-style to very authentic street food in vast quantity within 5 minutes walk in either direction. Yes, there are tourists, but most are of the more adventurous sort who can probably offer some tips about places to go and things to do. Easy access to the market and most everything else. In another posting I recommended www.backofthebiketours.com for a great culinary tour of real street food, and I'll do it here as well. Well worth the money and a great way to experience the city.
The hotel staff is great, the beds are comfortable and the price is reasonable. Suprisingly, I was on the second floor on a very busy street, but it was unexpectedly quiet at night. Perhaps because I had a room at the back....probably.....
My only complaint would be the breakfast, which is fairly insubstantial if you're used to a big breakfast. There's a bakery just down the street if you need to supplement with a croissant or two.
Overall, it's a great find.

This hotel is down a laneway filled with other hotels and some good little restaurants.

The hotel itself is quite small but it has everything you need whilst staying in HCMC the addition of the in room computer was handy too.

We really enjoyed the staff here, they were alot of fun. We had so much fun here - we missed our flight home! but the friendly staff were able to help us reschedule.

breakfasts are average - but the boys who served us were good for a vietnamese lesson "cam on"

the rooms are small and the bathrooms even smaller - but they do the job.
My only issue is that the beds made us quite itchy. nothing a cheap silk sleeping bag can't fix.

this hotel is walking distance from the markets and very close to some adventurous food options aswell as safer food options... *cough...kfc cough*

customer service is what helped us arrive at this rating. they also have some good tour options.

Pros:
- Clean, large Deluxe room
- Friendly Staff
- Breakfast Included
- Location is walking distance to numerous tourist spots
- Upgraded our room when they found out it was for our honeymoon

Cons:
- Bathroom shower would overflow beyond shower doors (minor complaint)
- Hotel is located down a narrow street so expect to walk a bit since no taxis can fit to drop you off right in front of the hotel

The hotel room was slightly small but clean and had all the usual amenities (towels, soap, shampoo, complimentary water and tea/coffee, hairdryer). The air-conditioner was good - essential after a hot sticky day exploring Saigon.There is free wifi and the room had desktop computer with free internet. The room came with free breakfast. If you get a room that faces the alley (not a street - mostly pedestrians and the occasional motorbike use it), you will hear ambient noise from the it- so take an inside room if you are very sensitive to noise.

The staff were very helpful and a good resource for information regarding tours, sites of interest, money exchange, taxis. The hotel will store luggage for you if you have an afternoon tour and have already checked-out. It's a good base for exploring Saigon as a lot of the attractions are within walking distance.

The are is a laundry shop right across the hotel so you can drop off your laundry in the morning and get it the next morning for a very reasonable fee.The is no shortage on where to eat. The hotel is located in the backpacker area so shops and restaurants that cater to tourists are plentiful. There are also restaurants that cater to the locals in the area. At the end of the alley, there is a Mexican Restaurant that serves more than just Mexican food (Italian, burgers, Vietnamese) and is a good place to eat if you don't want to go too far.
