“Love living in this alleyway...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

We arrived in Saigon as part of our one month honeymoon throughout Asia. I requested a pickup at the airport for $20, and the hotel is 30 minutes away (private shuttle back to airport is $10 from hotel - just book at front desk).

Located in downtown Saigon within a very busy alleyway, we enjoyed the authentic experience of the alleyway location. Once you exit the alley, there are main streets full of shops, restaurants, and traffic; so thank goodness we had the alleyway to block all the craziness.

Staffs at the hotel were great, and despite any language barriers try to do their best for you. Obviously, try to be patient as they do their best to speak English. We walked everywhere and there is plenty to see within walking distance, including a large market at the turning circle 10 minutes away. TNK Travel is around the corner for your touring needs.

The rooms are small (typical of Asia), and can be quite loud if you’re facing the alley. To my surprise, the restaurants within this alley are excellent, cheap, with lots of variety. The hotel itself has an excellent menu, but it’s difficult to stay in one place when you’re travelling.

Rooms come with a small desktop computer connected to the internet. Bathrooms are small but clean, and beds are hard (typical of Asia). Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its location and friendly staff.

Best part about this hotel is location, away from the rich tourist area where prices are 5-10X higher. Although everything is within walking distance, you'll see more of Vietnam here in the "Backpacker's" district than you will staying at the Sheraton surrounded by Gucci and Prada stores.

The only problem I had was returning from my day out to find 5 men invaded my room with their construction boots, working to take down a sign in front of my window. We had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and were not pleased. I told the manager that it was not acceptable, considering the sign out front does not pose an urgent matter and we got no notice in advance.

Safe travels!

Location: Beautiful Saigon 3 is on an alley which is about 5 minutes from the major market and 10 minutes from most of the restaurants. On top of that, most of the tours leave from the next street over.

Rooms: The room was clean, well kept and decently priced. The prices are on the higher side for Saigon boutique hotels but this is worth the price up vs. some of the others.

Staff: The staff are great and all speak decent english.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Upon reaching the airport, i went straight to the Vinasun taxi counter which is located right outside the customs (after collecting your luggage and having it scanned at the exit, look in front slightly to the left and you will see some taxi counters there). Paid a fixed USD 7.00 for the journey to the hotel. Booked this hotel because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor, and i must say that it totally lived up to its reviews! I stayed in a standard room because the superior and deluxe rooms were fully booked out. Room was rather small with no window, but cosy and spanking clean in every aspect. It was very quiet, a much welcome respite after a whole day of incessant honking and noise pollution from the streets. The hotel is very safe, with CCTVs on every floor. There was also a computer in the room with fast internet connection. Had my breakfast delivered to the room in the mornings. Every single member of the staff has been very well trained, they're one of the best customer service staff that i've ever come across. Good location too, just a 10 mins walk away from the Ben Thanh market and Coffee Bean just around the corner.

Advice: Mai Linh Taxis or Vinasun Taxis with the number 38.27 27 27 are reliable. Beware of taxis posing as Vinasun but with a different number eg. 54 27 27 27, they are not the 'real' Vinasun Taxis.

Rooms are new and nice. Very quiet too. Great bathrooms with great shower. Beds comfy and everything clean.

Rooms with window are 9$ more but the windows give you a view on a wall one meter away. That said, at 44 dollars a night the price is high. Rooms are good but price value isn't.

Due to miscommunication we could not stay as long as we wanted because our room was taken again. Reception did everything they could to help us, which was kind. Ended up moving out anyway.

Only reason I wouldn't recommend this hotel is price value. Besides that there's nothing wrong.

I stayed in Beautiful Saigon 3 from 6th Sept to 20th Sept.

I've travelled Asia for 30 years and this would have to be one of the very best experiences I have ever had hotel wise.

I stayed in a deluxe room, excellent value for money and included room computer, free wi fi with speeds of around 28 mbps, coffee and tea making facilities, great fruit plate daily, (mango, rambutan, watermelon, apple, grapes), flat screen TV with many cable channels, good free breakfast, really cheap mini bar prices, electronic room safe and wonderful bed.
Laundry service and room cleaning staff fast and efficient.

The hotel staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a super smile.

The restuarant was another surprise, good food at amazingly cheap prices, staff efficient and friendly.

The location is good, everything at your fingertips from money changers to bars to good restuarants, 15 minutes by taxi to the downtown shopping areas, sights etc.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A great place to stay in Saigon.

The BS3 is located right in the centre of town with shops, markets & restaurants all around. It is only a 20 min walk to the unification palace & 10 min to the markets. So location is superb. We booked direct with the hotel via email & due to a miss communication we had the hotel collect us from the airport however we had not agreed on the $20 fair for one way. After negotiations we settled on a price which is the same as the taxi's so be aware of that. On arrival at the hotel were we greeted by staff & shown to our room which was a standard room due to the superior being booked out. Our room was in inner room with no window & we were offered a superior room, with a window, for the 2nd night - which we took. The first room had a king bed & all the trimmings you'd need & was extremely clean & fresh as it appears the hotel is relatively new. We were transfered to the superior room the following day, which was at the rear of the hotel. The window was fine but the view was of a huge concrete wall about a metre from the window so that was really pointless. On the plus side though the room was much larger. Each room had a desk top computer supplied, flat screen TV, fridge and lovely bathroom with huge stand up shower. Fruit bowl supplied with superior room & for the extra 4 or 5 dollars the extra room is well worth it. There was no noise from the street as we are off the main road & with no window or at the back of the hotel the street noise could not be a problem. There was however a lot of noise from other guests in the morning with the walls either extremely thin or with no noise proof insulation. Many of those guests that get up early for whatever reason also create unnecessary noise without regard to other guests & need to think about that. Breakfast was basic with a choice of eggs, soup, bread, jams etc but adequate . Staff were great as usual in VN. In all a very comfortable stay in a very clean hotel. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Get the superior room if available
