Curiousity brought us to dinner here - how interesting can normal comfort food get?
The deep fried breaded squid rings were hot & OK; the salad was average, the baked sea bass was dry thus falky, the ribeye steak was correctly medium but taste was average; the wine list however was better. Is it worth another visit? No

“One of the best I tried”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

This place is awesome! The food is outstanding and the service excellent. The room is nice, although a bit plainm, but everything else is fantastic. They have an extensive wine list. Well worth a visit. We were lucky to go on a Friday and they had live jazz upstairs. A bit loud and wild but as good as anything you would hear anywhere in the world!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

We went there new years eve with our family. Our daughter has some food allergies which they more than catered for. The best meal they had. The food was tasty and the service fantastic. A little more eexpensive than the local restaurants but worth it and still very cheap in NZ dollars.

“Elbow Room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

You know I lived in HCMC for a year and they do have some vgood resturants there, in fact special places to dine, but I can say without a doubt that the Elbow Room was my favorite. My friend Tristan and his staff will rival anywhere you want to match them with. From the wine list, to any request to have something special tuned your way, to always having a reservation, to the over the top Blues band that plays there 'live' on friday nights. The steaks hit the spot, the seafood is always fresh, the meatloaf is to die for, and the 'death by chocolate' dessert will have you ready to do just that when you taste it. The staff is always there, and there to help not be in the way. So many friendly people in one place makes this a 'home away from home'. Try the chilli, try the chicken tacos, heck try anything, it's all good!

“A great little spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

We went here for a late Brunch, very nice little restaurant. I was very impressed with the food, I had the San Fran seafood chowder. An item that is not always well done in Asia but they nailed it as with the Chicken Parmesan. The menu had a good price range from great value to items you can indulge in if desired.
