Made reservations for my seven year old son and myself about one month ago. No deposit required which was nice but they required you confirm reservations one week before class. One week before class contacted school to confirm no changes and they required that you confirm reservations again 24 hours before class. This was annoying. I would rather pay a deposit then have to keep confirming or the school should contact the patron.
Day of class-Met guide at market like shown on information sheet at appointed time. Group size at market was five total. Spent about one hour at market picking up supplies which I enjoyed. After all goods were collected then we took short taxi drive to school. School was nice and airy. Given time to wash hands and given iced tea. After arrive of two more students then class began. We cooked three dishes and I thought pace was good. We prepared one dish at cooking tables then went to eating table to enjoy our dish. And we repeat this process two more times. There was also one other youth in class which was good.
After completion of class we were given opportunity to purchase other goods (aprons, cookbooks and etc.) and pay bill.
Overall I enjoyed the class and would recommend. I attend cooking schools on vacation when possible and Saigon Cooking Class was good but not the best I have attended so I would probably try another school for comparison if I visit Saigon again.
