We started our Vietnam adventure with only this hotel booked for the first night but then extended our stay for two more nights, plus a night at the end of our trip (as our flights home were from HCM too).

The owners were so, so nice and helpful, I cannot speak highly enough of them. They helped us with our travel arrangements (booking our train tickets for us, walking across the road to flag a taxi and agree a price for us in advance) as well as accomodation - Mr Anh seemed to have friends and relatives everywhere so whenever he ran out of rooms there would always be somewhere available couple of houses down.

Rooms were clean, bright, with a fridge and free wifi.

The location is also perfect, exit the guest house, turn left to get on the main backpackers' street and right on your left you'll find a street bar with the cheepest beer we've found!

As for the tours - we did CuChi tunnels and Mekong Delta through the guesthouse and were quite happy with those. I did compare the prices with other tour agencies we've found in the city but they were quite similar plus I guess it pleased the owners that we booked through them. 100% reccomended!

This was our first accommodation in Vietnam and it couldnt have been better. Diep and his wife are so helpful and friendly.

The location is right, smack in the middle of the backpacker district so you can walk to most attractions.

Being in the backpacker district petty crime is fairly prevalent, but you are warned of this every time you leave (if you don't listen that's your own fault)

The guesthouse, has free wifi, cheap mini bar and laundry services and will gladly recommend and organise any activities that you would like to do.

When we return to Vietnam we will definitely be back.

Wow! What an amazing little place. The location is fantastic. It's down this little alley that is full of local life. The room is lovely, bright and clean. It's cheap but most importantly the owners treat you like family. They are sooooo helpful and give you great tips on the city. Quite simply, stay here you will not regret it!

We stayed at Diep Anh Guesthouse from 22-December to 26-December 2012 and it was great! The owners are very helpful - right from the moment you step in to the guesthouse they give you a little introduction on where to go for food and sites. They also offer tours but you can get those everywhere and possibly cheaper if you have a little time to hunt around. The guesthouse is situated in the heart of the backpackers area where you have a great selection of restaurants and places to have drinks at night. All in all good standard of facilities (good clean bedrooms with air con, good clean bathrooms) and really friendly hosts. Definitely recommended!
