“Fancy stores”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW via mobile

This street has a Europen flair to it. Many upscale shopping stores and hotels here. You can also find some cool little cafes there. The other very modern side to Saigon.

“Great for exploring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW

Street filled with luxury brands, hotels and cafes. Worth a visit if you have an afternoon to while away as cafes are aplenty here. We visited the Trung Nguyen outlet to pick up some coffee powder and souvenirs for our family and friends back home.

“Best for shopping ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2015 NEW

Start at the bottom end by the river, where the historic Majestic Hotel is located (check out the rooftop bar at night for great cocktails), and then walk/ work your way straight up. Plenty of little shops, beauty spas and restaurants/ bars for you to look through, and enjoy.

Be prepared to bargain even when they say it's fixed price as prices vary from shop to shop and can be outrageous for tourists. Most things are charged in Vietnamese Dong but US Dollars work just as well.

Great place to purchase beautifully made lacquerware and silk shawls.

As you work your way up the street towards Notre Dame and the Old Post Office, do stop by the Caravelle Hotel or the Continental Hotel (where Graham Greene stayed and wrote The Quiet American). Go into both (or either) to have a cool drink and just absorb the history of both hotels. You'll also see the famous Opera House as it is located just off this street.

“Expensive, but some good entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2015 NEW

The street is the main shopping street in town and that is obvious on the prices of both the things in stores and the surronding restaurants. The street did have some great outdoor show one day I passed, which was very cool.

“nice shopping, eating, strolling street”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2015 NEW

there are so many shops on this street and some restaurants, clubs and bars... most of them are western style, modern places. Similar to Singapore and HongKong. Not a typical Vietnamese street.
