We looked on hostelbookers.com and tripadvisor before booking, and this guesthouse lived up to it's reputation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of advice on how to get around and where to look to find the things we were wanting.

They offered tours at the guesthouse which were cheaper than what we were able to find outside. This made us a little concerned because we were tricked in some of the cities up north, but we definitely got more than our money's worth. We would highly recommend the 2 day mekong delta tour!

The rooms were nice too. We took the twin room and got a nice view of the alleyway with a balcony. It was definitely more than we had expected. The room was very clean and had both fans and A/C.

Location was great too. We were able to try lots of local shops along the alleyway and on Bui Vien. The guesthouse was walking distance to pretty much anywhere.

Thanh thuong would have to be the freindlest place i have ever stayed. The prices are very cheap and what you get for your money is, on welcome you are given a nice cold drink and an explainaiton of what to do and see in sagion maps ideas etc on top of that a serviced room cleaned everyday top to bottom comfortable beds, which can be hard to find free wifi aircon tv nice hot shower and to top it off, i felt like nothing was to much to ask a real family run guesthouse. I have stayed here twice now and would never consider staying anywhere else in sagion right in the heart of dist 1 the backpacker area loved loved loved it

The staff were great - very helpful. Location is good too - close to many attractions and restaurants. Rooms are clean and price is a bargain. The owners thought of nice little conveniences - for example a lending library for travelers - take a book and leave one behind!

Thanh Thuong Guesthouse staff were great! They made us feel right at home. Ideal location right by the main backpacker alley. If you are planning a trip to Saigon, this is a great place to stay. Good value.
