I stayed 2 nights at this new hotel when my client told me the usual venue Palace Hotel is full. This is one of the new slim tall block of a hotel chain with about 7 floors located at the downtown Shopping area. It is about 100m from the Opera House or the plush Sheraton Hotel which I use as a landmark to guide taxi drivers. The hotel is not wheelchair friendly because the reception foyer is one flight of steep steps above street level. Although there are at least three lifts in the hotel, the location is a busy street so good for business or shopping tourists only.
I had a deluxe room and the inside is just like what the hotel website shows, very new! Decorations are simple but clean and nice and all the modern convenience including a safe big enough to lock a 14in notebook PC. In view of the busy streets below, I asked for a quiet room so the stay was indeed quite pleasant for a simple business hotel. Bed and linen are of good quality so I had quite good sleep despite a ticking clock on the wall. WIFI connection is good and there is a kettle in room to make hot drinks (no cups or tea/coffee, so buy or bring your own). Breakfast is buffet style in a small restaurant behind the reception area. Food quality is good but you should expect only the Vietnamese variety of food and fresh fruit. I will stay here again for business visits because it is quite good value for money. As with all my stays in Vietnam, it is always spoilt by taxi drivers at the begin and end of each trip --- hotels are usually fine if not too noisy.
