We had dinner on a crowded Friday night. We were able to get in but would recommend a reservation to get seated in the front outdoor patio. The food was delicious and at a reasonable price. They had a wide selection of beer from around Vietnam which we enjoyed trying. The staff was responsive and for the most part helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend. The restaurant is especially convenient for anyone staying at the Park Hyatt as it is right across the street.

Thankfully we had booked many weeks in advance. This is a nice restaurant with a lovely ambience, especially in the evening. It's true what other reviewers say - this restaurant does seem full of tourists and is quite pricey by Vietnamese standards, but is a safe bet if you are new to HCM City. There was a long queue of people who seemed to be quite happy waiting for a table, on the night we had booked. If I had longer in HCM then I would almost certainly hunt out a few other cheaper places, but I would definitely come back here for special occasions. The menu is very extensive, so it's best to book with a group of people so that you can share and get to sample as many dishes as possible. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Cute, trendy (for Vietnamese standards) local restaurant in the heart of the city centre. It serves contemporary Vietnamese food, and it was recommended by both the guide book and the very helpful concierge at the hotel. It's located in a courtyard just off the main road, do bear this in mind if you decide to walk there and guide yourself with the street map on your smartphone, as I did... Hoa Tuc (means "opium poppy") has outside and inside dining areas. Outside is nicest and it has a cool, relaxed atmosphere. The food was very good -do try the soft shell crabs!- and the service was good enough. A meal for two with drinks and water came up to about £40, including 5% service charge and 10% VAT. It was also the best meal I had in Saigon in the two days I was there over Christmas.

This was our first restaurant in Vietnam and on the night quite nice, however having spent two weeks holidaying and eating in a range of places, I agree with other reviews, nicely executed food, not for locals. It was a good starting point, close to the hotel, probably would now look further afield. The starters were good, mains not so flavorsome.
