“Amazing Cu Chi Tunnels half day with a great guide!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

We did the Cu Chi tunnels half day tour in April this year. We were picked up bang on time by our guide, Tien, who was helpful, friendly and informative all day. We drove about 1 hour to get out of the city traffic, then got on our bikes. En route Tien shared a lot of information about Vietnam's history and current culture. We cycled to the tunnels, stopping off on the way to see rice paper being made and a plantation where they harvest rubber. The cycle to the tunnels is about 20km overall on flat ground through amazing scenery, so should be no problem for someone of reasonable fitness. You're provided with lots of lovely cold water to keep you going. The tunnels themselves are a fascinating place to visit, giving a real insight into how people survived there - so long as you're not scared of the dark or small places then it's really interesting to get down into the tunnels. After the tunnels we went to an amazing restaurant as part of the trip where we had a banquet of superb local food in a beautiful location by a river. We were then driven back to Saigon and the driver was happy to drop us off at the Reunification Palace, rather than our hotel, so we could visit there. Highly recommend this trip - we initially thought it was quite expensive, but in fact it's great value for top a quality private tour

“Exhilarating experience in 1 full day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

We took a biking full-day tour to Can Gio forest from HCM city. The tour was absolutely fantastic. The road is not too harsh for bikers. In combination with cycling, we also visited linteresting spots like Mangrove forest ecosystem, guerilla base, eco–tourism zone by canoeing and perhaps, dead-sea, by cruising. There are way too many things to explore. We like the tour guide as well; he was very nice and friendly. The tour’s service was uncriticized. The trip was totally amazing.

“Extremely Expensive!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

The one day bike tour in the Mekon Delta was beautiful however very overpriced. We had the chance to see some local people during our bike ride but didnt get to visit everything that was scheduled, we were allowed to stop at anytime to take pictures or drink water. The guide spoke very good english, was very friendly and knowledgable.
Would do it again at half the price.

“A great ride in Ho Chi Minh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

I scheduled a private guided ride with Vietnam Bike Tours.
I am an avid Mountain Biker and am trying to ride in as many countries as possible.
Without a guide, riding around Vietnam would be near impossible.
My guide picked me up promptly at my hotel in a nice new air conditioned van. They drove me to the outskirts of the city and we started our adventure.
It was a great way to see the secret life of Vietnam.
We rode trails and back roads For as long and as hard as I wanted to go.
My guide "Sang" was great, he stopped at some roadside vendors for samples of local drinks made of crushed sugar cane. I was interested in a lady making rice paper so he spoke with her and she graciously invited us into her house and showed the whole process and was happy to let me take pictures and video.
And, magically our support van appeared when there was a flat tire. We sat and relaxed while the driver changed the tube.
The ride finished off with a great meal of local cuisine, rice wine, and beer at a hidden jewel of a restaurant.
The guide spoke great English, the locals all say "hi" as you ride by.
I definitely recommend a ride with these guys.
As for the bikes, they are ok. I am a bike snob so my opinion is skewed. But, they are nothing fancy and in need of a tune. But, do not let that stop you. The environment here is harsh on bikes so you cannot expect too much.

“Awesome bike tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2012

We had a great ride with Huy. He met us with 5 bikes in a big air-conditioned van and a driver. We drove for about an hour out of the city and we got out and rode our bikes along the way. I love guides who are not in your face but available for anything - answering questions and interpreting as needed. We had lots of fun with our 18 and 12 year old kids! Highly recommended!
