“Hotel Review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

This hotel is centrally located right in the down town area. The hotel itself is very clean and bright; Rooms are great, clean, comfortable, bright and air conditioned.
The hotel has a tour operator on site, which we found very convenient and helpful we booked a couple of tours through them and found it was much cheaper than over the internet.
The Staff at the hotel were very accommodating and we were able to leave are luggage for 4 days in their lockup while we travelled further afield. The level of customer service is outstanding.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

We stayed at An An 2 for 4 nights in March 2013 and were very pleased overall with the experience. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was pretty basic, but overall it was an excellent deal at $40US per night. The location is great, close to everything. We heeded the advice of previous posters and secured a room at the back of the hotel. This (I'm sure) helped but we could still hear the night life, but what do you expect, it's Saigon after all! We used the services of the travel desk who were also very helpful in organizing tours for us. Extra points to the staff for storing some of our luggage for 4 days when we went to Phu Quoc. We would definitely recommend An An 2.

Dear Ed and Linda,
Thank you for your regards to provide feedback about our hotel. We are certainly glad to hear that your stays were interesting at all!
We are really grateful when hearing nice comments about our staffs, facilities and services. Specially, your understanding about the noise of night life in Sai Gon was so precious . As you know that has been a serious trouble we are trying to overcome in recently. However, it became an interesting experience and feelings of your trip. And your two stays were perfect as good as we wished. Your pleasant is our happiness.
Please get our thanks for all one more time. We are pleased to contribute your holidays having a quality time. Hope to be able to see you on nearest time!

Thanks and Best Regards

The rooms in this hotel are VERY small. Even the deluxe rooms are small, so be prepared...my husband and I had two small carry-on suitcases and two back packs and there wasn't enough room to open the suitcases!

Aside from the space issue, the room itself is very clean and modern. The bathroom is a decent size with only a walk in shower for the standard rooms. Oddly enough the shower 'wall' is actually a clear pane of glass between the bathroom and the bedroom so you can see each other. Not sure what the intent there was...

The hotel wall and windows are VERY thin, so you will hear everything that is happening out on the street as well as people walking in the hallway of the hotel, especially at night. Each floor only has 3 rooms.

When we first checked in, we were given a room on the 3rd floor and it was extremely noisy so we asked to if there were any rooms on the higher floor available. We were told that there should be some available the next day which was fine with us. The next day we moved to the top (9th) floor and coincidentally, we were also the only ones on the floor, so it was great! We could still hear a little noise from the street, but it was definitely nothing like on the 3rd floor.

The hotel staff are very friendly, speak English well and are eager to help. Definitely a plus!

Laundry at this hotel is rather expensive for Vietnam so we opted to go around the corner and do it there instead.

The location of this hotel is in the heart of the Backpacker's district so be aware of what that entails...lots of tourists, the local vendors will try to rip you off and food is terrible.

If we go back to HCMC, we will definitely stay in a different area, one that doesn't have so many tourists.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the highest floor available.

Stayed here for two nights very close to all things that you need Restaurants and shops but very noisy in front rooms can be a Zoo outside at 3 am as people leave either the crazy buffalo or the G2 bar great if you want to party not if you want a good nights sleep
.Also after about 8 pm you cannot go anywhere without being approached by local trying to sell weed or girls as this is the main tourist street in HCM maybe this can be expected

4 rooms per floor internal room very small but Ok for a night deluxe rooms good size the ones at back above third floor are quieter and have a view across to AnAn one
Staff helpfull maybe some could work at their english

Stayed here on two occasions during our stay in Vietnam. Was very well located. Right in the centre of things. This obviously has its drawbacks however. We didnt sleep for the first night because of the noise of the bars across the road. We asked to be moved the second night and the reception staff were very helpful and moved us straight away. Slept great the second night!! Hotel is very clean and theres free wifi. All rooms have big TVs and theres some computers downstairs to use if you dont have a wifi compatible device. All in all a pleasant stay!

Room Tip: Make sure and ask for a room at the back. Its much quiter!

Nice clean rooms, good alternative to backpacker type rooms. Decent service n conveniently located in district one. Worth the extra money if u don't want to stay in a backpacker type room and don't want to pay too much for a five star

Stayed Nov 2011 with my sister in a room with 2 single beds.

Very clean, well maintained and the staff were all friendly. Would stay again.

The night club over the road is noisy for the lower levels but we were on the top floor so had no problems at all.

Good location to walk to pubs, restaurants etc.

Room Tip: ask for the higher levels if you dont go out and party much at night.
