Description: Highway4 Restaurants offer the ultimate Vietnamese dining experience. The food menu has been specially crafted over the last decade, using traditional Vietnamese flavours and ingredients whilst also adopting modern and innovative cooking styles and imported foodstuffs to meet the demands of today's society. Highway4 is very much the pioneer of modern Vietnamese cuisine, introducing new and exotic dishes to the table on a regular basis, leading the culture of urban dining. In this way, the Highway4 menu is more regarded as the future and progression of Vietnamese culinary culture than a fusion model. Furthermore, Highway4 also has a strong focus on environmental concerns, reduction of waste and pollution, and securing safe suppliers. At Highway4, you can try the complete range of premium spirits under the brand Son Tinh Premium Liquor, Vietnam's only internationally recognized and decorated world-class spirit which in recent years has been awarded a total of 12 gold, silver and bronze awards at a variety of international spirits competitions in Austria, Hong Kong, the UK and USA. Highway4 is perfect for discovering and exploring Vietnam's culture of food and drink or getting together with a group of friends or colleagues for an evening of fun and good food.Highway4 Hang Tre is on the far eastern side of Hanoi's Old Quarter, near the beginning of Chuong Duong Bridge.

“Hot Pot Heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

HWY 4 is not "fast food" - and that's good! Get set for a gourmet treat, whatever you pick from the menu. I particularly enjoy "hot pot". There are many different hot pot selections, my favorite being seafood. As I visited HWY 4 during the Tet holiday, there were a few happy parties going on nearby. The happier, the louder..........and I'm not complaining about that, but it would probably not be the appropriate venue for listening to the details of a business contract.
I would hope that you wouldn't let a trip to Hanoi go by without a stop at HWY 4.

“Vietnamese food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

This is a good restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food. The restaurant is clean with a well stocked bar. The food is good but expensive . They have the original Vietnamese rice wine but again expensive.

“Overpriced hype”

Rude staff exhibiting indifference and arrogance serving very average highly overpriced food to a background of screaming kitchen staff and two different sources of loud music

“An easy place to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

We weren't sure what we wanted to eat on our first night in Hanoi, so we wandered around looking for possibilities. We found Highway No 4 by chance, about 250 m from our hotel. The service was gentle but reasonably quick, and the dish that we ordered - a sort of Vietnamese style hotpot - was excellent. We went there on a Monday evening and the restaurant wasn't very full, but none of the others that we saw in the area were, either. We had had some doubts about going in, at first, because we wanted some authentic Vietnamese food, and both the look of the outside of the place and its name seemed to indicate that it might be a "fast food" venue. It isn't. Having found it, we liked it enough to consider going back again within the week. We didn't only because we wanted to go to as many different places as possible during our short stay.
