We got there without a reservation and they gave us a room. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the middle of the old quarter, full of all kind of stores, motorbikes and people. It is very close to the lake. The staff is very friendly, though they will try to sell you tours every time they see you and during your breakfasts, but if you can come up with a good reason why you are not going and make it clear to them, then they stop bothering. The breakfast is not very nice, but the pancakes are not so bad. They have two computers with internet in the lobby. You can send your clothes for being washed.

and the manager roger was fantastic in helping me sort out my trips and plans for moving through the country also miss jerry was very helpful in making my short stay very ,

Stayed there four nights. Took a trip to Halong bay with the operator recommended by them and was very pleased. Really one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

Stayed at Rising Dragon which a tourist operator in the airport booked for us. The staff were lovely the hotel room was lovely there wasnt a view or anything but it was a nice room. The staff go out there way to help you and the hotel is in the centre of everything, Be warned the hotel shut there shutters at midnight and so at 1.30am we struggled to find the hotel and had to knock on the shutters to get back in but the hotel staff sleep next to the door so they just opened it for us. Breakfast is included which is more than adequate.
