“Hidden Gem in Old Quarters!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This hotel is indeed an hidden gem in Old Quarters and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there for 4 nights. Their great customer service and sincerity can be felt before we step into Hanoi. I contacted the hotel with regards to airport transfer and Halong Bay cruise and the staff provided great suggestions and arrangements for us so that we can enjoy our trip. From the moment we reached Hanoi, we are met by the friendly hotel driver who brought us safely to the hotel. The hotel staff even came out of the hotel to escort us into the lobby from across the street where the driver drop us off. We were welcomed by the friendly receptionist who is extremely knowledgeable about Hanoi and help us plan out a route for exploration in Hanoi. She also went the extra mile to help us research the exact location of a cafe that we wanted to go but was not shown on the map. The hotel also provided the guests with hot towels and welcome drink during check-in and the staff walked us to our room! The room itself was very well furnished and clean with complimentary fresh water, tidbits, fruits and coffee and tea replenished daily. The hotel breakfast was also great with a selection of buffet and pastries as well as food cooked on order. This is really one of the best hotel that we have ever stayed in with excellent service that really warms our hearts! Besides being a hotel, it felt like home to us during our stay here. We will definitely stay in this hotel if we return to Hanoi in the future. The location of the hotel is very good too and many attractions in Old Quarters are within walking distance which is good for free-and-easy explorers!

When my husband was looking for hotels at Tripadvisor in Hanoi, he came across this #1 rated hotel. He was a bit skeptical because it looked too good to be true, especially with its affordable price. But no doubt if we visit Hanoi again, we will book this place without hesitation. And even willing to pay double..

This hotel was fabulous. They are located at the center of the Old Quarter. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. But honestly what really took this hotel to another level were the people. When we first walked in, they welcomed us cheerfully and offered us refreshments, while they helped us get settled in. They provided us maps, recommendations on where to go, and also some tips to be safe. When the finally walked us to our room, I was very surprised. My husband had left a note when he booked the room that it was my 30th birthday. They decorated our room with flowers and had a cake waiting for me. It was a very sweet gesture on their part. When we were finally ready to check out, we wanted to personally tip Brian, the manager, who had been very hands-on to ensure we had a great experience. He took our tip smiled and said that it was a team effort and dropped the money in their tip box. His action reflected the type of service you'll get here. Genuine and heartfelt.

Great people, great place!

If your planing a trip to Hanoi don't even waste time looking at other hotels as you won't find a better hotel in Hanoi. We spent 4 great nights at this great hotel with the most attentive courteous staff i have ever met. It started when the hotel driver met us at the airport with a huge smile he took us safely to the hotel with smiles all the way. we arrived about 9am and shown to the breakfast restaurant and given coffee and told to get breakfast if we wanted it. Jenny then came and gave us some great local advice, we then went to our room which was perfectly presented and shown how the safe worked. In the room we found complimentary snacks fruit and water. The breakfast each day was great with fresh fruit hot buffet and cooked to order things. We went on some trips we had booked in advance as we went to the coach we had water given to us just a little thing but its the little things that make this hotel stand out from the rest. I have stayed in many hotels around the world some independent and some part of the major chains and i think the service at the oriental central is the best as the staff are sincere and not following corporate instructions. As you may gather i loved this hotel stay here you will not be disappointed. Must also say Brian is a true gent.

From the time that we arrived to the time that we left the level of service was impeccable. After our first night we went on an overnight trip to Halong Bay. Upon our return we were upgraded to a Junior Suite at no extra cost. The Hotel itself is right in the middle of the old quarter and great for exploring all the attractions. The staff, especially the manager Mr Brian Do, went out of their way to assist us with directions and advice. Thank you for a great stay !

My wife and I did not know what to expect, we usually stay at much larger chain hotels, but we could not have been happier. The staff could not do enough to make us feel comfortable and at home. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out we felt like home. The room was clean comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast is very nice and the location is ideal for exploring Hanoi. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I would suggest if you are a light sleeper that you request a room in the back away from the busy st...

We arrived at the hotel well before check in but they were still very nice and accommodating. Before we even got out of the taxi, the hotel staff were already grabbing our bags out of the taxi. They welcomed us with welcome drinks and fresh fruit. They let us know our rooms would be available within and hour. The next day we came down too late for breakfast but the staff still offered us what was left of the buffet and gave us coffee. I was able to print my boarding passes for our flight with the reception the next day. Internet was always working and with pretty good speeds. They always recognized and greeted us and went above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

Hanoi has plenty of great hotels at reasonable prices, but the Oriental Central Hotel was quite outstanding for our stay this week. We arrived by taxi and before I could get out of the car staff were already there and the manager Brian, was correcting the driver on how much I should be charged for the fare from the airport.

After a welcome drink and a modification to the room layout we were taken to our room which was really nice, stylish space with a small couch and smart modern bathroom facilities. The hotel has generous touches such as complimentary fruit, water, chips and oreos for guests.

The included breakfast was also excellent, a good range of fruit, juices, continental and hot dishes to suit both western and asian tastes.

When it was time to check out Brian found us another complimentary room to stay in till we scheduled to leave (we have a late train south to Danang).

Outstanding hospitality - thank you so much.
