“I would highly recommend this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2011

This hotel was a great haven in a busy city. The room was decorated with a local flavour, it was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. It was situated at the back and was quiet. The breakfast served in the dining room was delicious and we appreciated a hearty cup of tea in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will return.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the street -it is quieter

A Vietnamese business colleague recommended my friends and I stay at the Classic Street. This was a great recommendation, as we found the hotel terrific value and an ideal location from which to explore the Old Quarter and the other wonders of Hanoi. The management and staff were incredibly kind and helpful to us throughout. We felt incredibly safe and well looked after. I would recommend this hotel without reservation. It's not fancy, but clean and comfortable and a welcoming environment that meant so much to us.

The Classic Street Hotel was a home away from home for myself and traveling companions !
Mr Cat as well as others offered flawless assistance . The Classic is comfortable, clean and friendly....a nice breakfast provided . My daughter ended up returning to Hanoi after our travels in Viet Nam as I returned back to the States ...she went directly back to The Classic reassured she would feel comfortable as a solo traveler . Mr Cat made travel arrangements (HaLong Bay )for us prior to our visit to Viet Nam and they were without error....I had made adjustments to our initial travel plans and Mr Cat was on top of every change.
One thing to note is the stairs......I don't believe there is an elevator and one should be made aware that one will need to navigate the stairs to get to the room.

right in the heart of the old quarter. deluxe room only $35 USD per night. airconditioning and pay TV. no lift so you need to walk up 3 floors but not a problem. helps keep away from the noise on the street. breakfast is included and the staff are very helpful. they booked our halong bay tour, looked after our main bag whilst we were away and helped us book flights to Danang. very good value for money.

Wonderfully located in the center of Hanoi's Old Town, Classic Street Hotel is a great escape from the noise of Hanoi. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean while the staff is friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay at Classic Street and I hope to visit again!

I stayed at the classic street for a couple of nights in 2006 and decided to book again.
I had a night either side of a trip to sapa. The staff were very friendly and were happy for me to leave my main bag at the hotel while I was away for three nights.
The rooms are big and clean and the air con was very good. I had a room at the back which was very quiet considering the location, which is in the heart of the old qtr.
All in all it was a very pleasant stay. I paid USD$27 per night but also paid an extra USD$10 for a late checkout to 5pm.

in december 2009 my partner, myself and our 7 year old son stayed at the classic street hotel for 4 nights. we would highly recommend this hotel for its friendliness, cleanliness and location. the wonderful staff organised a halong bay tour for us which was excellent value for money and very well run with fantastic guides, food and accommodation (a lot of people we spoke to on the tour were disappointed with what they got)
we left luggage at classic street hotel while we went to halong bay and again while we travelled up to sapa...once again the guys at classic street hotel organised train tickets for us and were quite happy to organise onward travel for us also. the breakfasts were good and the room was nicely decorated and clean. nothing was too much trouble and we had an extra bed made up for our son however on our return from halong bay we decided to forgo this as the main bed was MASSIVE and we all slept in that and had the extra floor space. would love to return to this excellent place sometime. it really started off our vietnamese adventure in a positive way.
